"HOW DARE YOU ENTER THE NOBLE HOUSE OF BLACK! YOU FIL-"
My eyes shot open just as Sirius' voice rang threw out the house,"SHUT UP YA OLD HAG!!!Tonks! What have I said about watching where your going?"
"It s'not my fault! That damn umbrella holder is in the way!!," a women's voice yelled.
I sighed in relief as they bickered more quietly, my head felt like a hammer had hit it repeatedly. No thanks to Mrs. Blacks screaming none the less. More voices filled the house and then my heart sank.
I have to go down there for that meeting. I'm sure it's mandatory. But I knew that if I attended Remus and Molly are going to want to play twenty questions with me. And knowing Remus he would ask the right ones. Sirius would get the biggest kick if he saw me blushing ten shades of red. But I had to go down, I made a commitment to be part of the order. I couldn't back down, not now.
I groaned and rolled over to grab
my wand. With a flick of my wrist the wardrobe doors burst open and outfits that Sirius and Remus found in the attic filed out. Out of twenty only seven where decent enough and not too fancy to wear. I zipped up the knee high dress with a green laced bodice and pulled on my aging boots. I counted to five before opening the door and to my surprise there wasn't any of the teenagers trying to find out what was the meeting bout. What time was it?
It seemed like forever until I got to the dinning room door. The door was slightly open and I could see that everyone was seated already, Remus was standing up. A roll of parchment in the air and he was reading off names.
I stood by the door until he called out my name. I shook my arms and gave a quick peep talk to myself before opening the door.
"Here, sorry I was late," I said and moved to sit next to a bored Severus, ignoring the heated look both Sirius and Molly gave me. "Thanks for saving me a seat."
He nodded his head and looked forward to the head of the table where Grandfather sat. He had his head resting on his folded hands, a somber look settled over his features. Remus sat down after he called out for Remilia Zertman , who didn't answer.
"How many are we missing?," Grandfather asked after a minute.
Remus' lips formed into a hard line before he spoke. "Six," he said slowly.
It was deadly quiet in the room as we let the number settle in. Six. Six order members were missing. That's means Voldemort got to them, there wasn't any other explanation. Those six people were either being held hostage and tortured or were killed on the spot. I truly hoped for the ladder.
Grandfather's features softened and something almost like regret flashed between his eyes but it quickly went away. He sighed heavily and looked at a man with colorful robes on.
"Shakelbolt please inform Miss Williams of our findings until now," I shivered under his hard gaze, grandfather never called me by my last name unless it was followed by something serious or horrendous.
The wizard known as Shakeobolt nodded his head,"of course, Dumbledore."
I assumed everyone to turn to look at me but only a few did the rest looked down at the table or at walls blankly. They probably already heard this a million times before.
"The order has been reestablished since the return of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. We have been able to recruit as many wizards to risk their lives to help Harry Potter. Recently we have gained members that have access to rooms and archives in the ministry. Except for one."
I leaned forward my heart beating for the information,"What room?"
"The Department of Mysteries."
I smiled and wiggled my fingers in front of everyone,"Ooooo mysterious!"
Apparently no one here had a sense of humor as they all sent cold stares at me or just rolled there eyes at my stupid joke.
"Sorry go on," I coughed out.
Shakelbolt didn't seem to mind my little joke but otherwise kept going with whatever he was saying,"Yes very mysterious. We've gotten close to figure out what might lie behind the door, but with out permission from the Minister we can be sent to Azkaban."
I gasped,"Azkaban! Is that room really this important to be kept safe?"
"It's life threatening," Grandfather said straightening up in his seat. "What lies behind that door, Voldemort wants dearly."
Frustrated I pounded my fists against the dinning table gaining those with distant looks back into focus,"What the hell is in that room!!?"
Grandfather stared at me,"A prophecy."
"What does he want with a dumb prophecy?," I asked.
"The knowledge of how to destroy Harry."
My heart stopped, everyone else was deadly quiet. My mind raced to find an answer on how to stop this from ever happening. I looked up at Grandfather a hopeful look spread on my face. "All we have to do is take back the prophecy with out the Ministry knowing, right?"
Shaklelbolt shook his head slowly,"Only those who the prophecy is about can take hold of the prophecy...all we can do know is watch over the room."
"Who has first shift?," I said numbly.
After that there was nothing else to say, I sighed deeply annoyed what was the point of this meeting any way. They've obviously haven't gotten anywhere since the beginning. The prophecy was the reason why Voldemort wanted my godson if it wasn't made in the first place then Harry would have a normal life. He'd have parents, possible even a sibling to share his holidays with, Sirius wouldn't be in hiding and maybe we'd would have been together. Severus turned toward me and I shook off the goofy smile that was on my face.
"Why are Remus and Sirius starring at you?," Severus asked dully.
I smiled at him and cocked my head to the side,"Haven't you heard. I'm simply irresistible."
He rolled his eyes at me just as Grandfather called the meeting to a close. I got up from my seat and dragged Severus into the next room.
"What are we doing here?"
I turned to him as bit my lip,"there's something i have to tell you. Sirius kissed me...and I liked it."
