1-B...1-B..There it is 1-B my music class.
I have only taken music as a subject.
I know I'll probably end up working in a shop somewhere, if I'm even still alive, but music is my only passion.
"Hey there, I hope you didn't get lost" said an older man.
He seemed friendly I wonder what his name is.
"I'm Mr Miles and you are?" Oh that timing was ironic.
"I'm Ko."
I tried to speak up so he could hear me.
There wasn't many students here, most of them were fiddling with instruments, a couple were taking notes.
"Nice to meet you Ko, I hope you can learn and practice music to your best potential here."
I was still vaguely intimidated by this new atmosphere but I ambled around the classroom taking in my surroundings.
It was a pretty generic classroom but had all kinds of instruments scattered around the room plus there were some computers in the corner.
In a strange way, I felt safe.
"You can play anything you'd like here" a girl added.
I picked up a violin cautiously.
"Are you sure-" I unintentionally stuttered.
The girl just nodded, completely and utterly chill.
I tried to ignore the other people in the room and began to play a song I had been fixated with for a long time.
I felt better pouring my emotions into my music, it helps relieve them for a short time.
By the time I'd finished some people were staring.
I felt embarrassed, was my music that terrible? The long list of 'what ifs' played in my head but was soon interrupted.
"Who's music was that?" A voice I've never heard before chimed in.
A girl with brown wavy short hair stuck her head around the door, she looked effortlessly pretty.
She must of seen me holding the violin by my side because her eyes focused on me.
"That's our new girl Ko!" Mr Miles exclaimed proudly.
"How did you make your music sound like that" she blurted out.
I was bewildered, what did she mean.
"You know.." she started "music that makes you want to cry, scream and laugh in joy at the same time."
A couple boys in the back of the classroom started sniggering, Mr Miles ignored them.
"Ko this is Mei, she often hangs around our corridor, your music must of made a big impact on her" Mr Miles smiled fondly at her like she was a misbehaved pet.
For the first time I was stuck for words.
I had no idea that anyone else could hear the emotion in my music.
As i was thinking up an excuse for an answer the bell chimed.
"Want to grab some food with me?" Mei asked, she'd seem to of forgotten her own question.
"Sure" I replied. She smiled at me brightly and ushered for me to follow her.
