It was 12:00 am on a peaceful Friday, where Yoko was asleep, cuddled up to Hiei's chest. On the other hand, Hiei was wide awake. He had heard something. A voice, perhaps. He didn't want to alarm his lover, so he kept silent. Gently, he stroked the fox's ears, earning a low, happy purr from the fox. He wanted to get up and seek out what he heard, but he didn't want to leave Yoko alone. He sighed and got up, kissing Yoko on the forehead before going to investigate what the sound was, glancing over one last time.
He jumped out of the treehouse and used his Jagan to scope out the area. And that's when he spotted him- Yusuke Urameshi. Former Spirit Detective, descendant of the Mazoku- and the bitch that hurt his mate. He noticed the condition Yusuke was in, and that made him smirk. Yoko must have screwed him up pretty badly if he was still limping and yet to heal. One slash could be all it would take to end that pathetic Mazoku's life. Just as he was considering that he'd end Yusuke's life right then and there, he noticed another figure besides him.
His eyes widened in shock and fury, his Jagan twitching from irritation. He had to look twice, but sure enough, standing by Yusuke's side, was Kazuma Kuwabara, but how? He was dead, wasn't he? Unless.. There were only two possibilities here- one being that Kuwabara had been a demon sleeper, or Koenma brought him back. However, since Yusuke and Amanuma, Koenma hasn't revived anyone. So that led down to the first possibility. Kuwabara had been a demonkin, otherwise a Mazoku like Yusuke, but due to being an S-class human, he was reborn immediately. Now he had two to fight...
"Let's just go, Kuwabara, I doubt Yoko's here, even if you did want to beat his ass." Yusuke said. Faraway, Yoko had heard his name mentioned, as well as Kuwabara's. He awakened and noticed that Hiei was in the meadow, staring at someone through his Jagan. Hesitant, he jumped down the treehouse and ran over to him.
"Hiei, what's going on?" Yoko then asked. Startled, Hiei looked over to him and then sighed in relief, gently wrapping an arm around his mate.
"You should be in the treehouse resting. We've got some fools here in the meadow, though." Hiei said.
"There's a lot of fools, you know. Specifically?" Yoko questioned.
"Ones we knew. Yusuke Urameshi, and I can't believe I'm about to mutter his name right now, but the other fool is Kuwabara. Turns out he's also a Mazoku and we were too naive to see it. Then again, those two are twin flames so it'd make sense they'd both be Mazokus." Hiei said. Yoko's eyes widened in shock when Hiei mentioned Kuwabara's name.
"The odds of that are inconceivable!" Cried Yoko. Unfortunately, Yusuke and Kazuma both heard him say that, and they both whipped their heads over to them.
"So, he thinks he can beat me so easily.." Kazuma growled as he saw Yoko.
"Stay outta this, I'll kill that damned fox." Yusuke said.
"Try not to get yourself involved in this, sweetheart." Hiei said, kissing Yoko, before then charging at the two Mazokus at full speed. They could hardly keep up with his afterimage, which Hiei thought was pathetic. He unsheathed his sword for the first time in a while as he charged towards Yusuke and Kuwabara. He was about to attack, when suddenly,
"Hiei, don't! You're not strong enough to take both of them on!" Yoko shouted. In reality, he knew Hiei was more than strong enough, he just didn't want to see them fighting. Not yet. He had no doubt Hiei would win, but the timing seemed off. The Jagan master sighed and retreated back to Yoko, wrapping his arms around his mate.
"Are you sure I'm not strong enough? Or did you just get worried?" Hiei asked. Yoko leaned against him, sighing before saying,
"I know you're strong enough but.. The timing of it just seems.. Off. It's almost too good to be true." He admitted.
"You're right. It does seem too good to possibly be true." Hiei said. He leaned down and kissed the fox's cheek.
"Really? Just a kiss on the cheek?" Yoko chuckled, but Hiei pulled him in for a deep kiss. He was surprised at first, but relaxed into the kiss.
"I do have one request from you though, my lord." Yoko said, pulling away.
"What might that be, my fox?" Hiei asked.
"Give them a good warning with your dragon, and perhaps, I'll let you get a bit intimate with me." Yoko purred a bit.
"Now that's an offer I can't resist," Hiei chuckled, smirking. He took the binding off of his arm and summoned the dragon of the darkness flame, sending it over to Yusuke and Kuwabara. Both of the Mazokus were shocked and went to run away from the blast. Yusuke barely managed to dodge it unscathed. Kuwabara tried to stop the dragon but realized he couldn't, so he quickly got out of the way. However, Hiei made the dragon chase them out of their meadow and made sure that they were gone. One he knew they were gone, he retreated the dragon.
"There. We shouldn't be dealing with them for at least a little while now. If either of them come back, I'll singe their asses to cinders." Hiei said.
"How about you fight Yusuke, and I fight Kuwabara? That way, they can't team up." Yoko said.
"Very well then. If that's what my fox wants, that's what my fox gets." He said.
"You're probably going to need to hibernate and get your energy back, my lord. Shall we get some rest, and then perhaps, we could be as intimate as you want to be?" Yoko asked. The dragon wielder smirked, before nodding.
"I'd enjoy that. I do admit, I've been waiting to get intimate with you."
