Rosefall's POV

"Batstar, surely Lilly could stay in the nursery with Fallensky and I? Her kits are due any moment, like me, and They'd annoy Domino and Taro in the spare den." I was talking with Batstar in her den under the Greatledge.

"I'll think about it. They've spent almost a moon here. Domino and Taro have a lot of potential aswell as Lilly but I do not fully trust them. Especially Taro." Batstar responded.

I had to admit - Batstar had a point. Ivysong had previously discussed with me about Taro's interesting demeanor.

Ivysong had said that she didn't like the rogues, but she hated Taro the most.

"I'm sure he just doesn't enjoy other cat's company. If he stays, I'm sure he'll come around. Lilly on the other paw, I've grown to like. She has had such an interesting life.." I rambled.

Batstar nodded. "I've made my decision. She can stay in the nursery when her kits are born. Until then, she'll stay in the spare den."

I agreed, slightly annoyed, but I knew there was no point in arguing with Batstar.

I dipped my head in respect and left her den. My belly was very heavy, and I didn't think I could handle it anymore.

I felt a massive pain in my lower belly. I let out a large mrrow, falling to my side.

"Rosefall!" Fallensky rushed over. "Are you okay? Are the kits coming?" He pressed his nose to my head.

"I..think so.." I said, out of breath. I saw Winnie enter camp with a mouse in her jaws.

She threw the mouse to Larkfeather who was sitting nearby with Cinnamonsky when she saw me and rushed over.

"I'll get Streamsight!" Winnie said as she reached me. She rushed away.

I groaned in pain as another wave rolled over me. It's definetly time! I haven't had a false alarm this badly!

Streamsight rushed over with a few herbs in her jaws, Winnie following. Streamsight sniffed around my rear end. "Its time." She said finally, nodding to Fallensky.

"Nightpaw!" Streamsight hollared from across camp. "Bring some moss now."

In a few moments Nightpaw appeared outside of her den with large amounts of moss in her jaws.

"Surely we could move her?" Asked Fallensky. Streamsight shook her head. "Its too late. It must be done here."

Nightpaw appeared with the moss. "Put it near her rear end. Quickly!"

I could feel a kit getting close to coming out. "Okay, I'm gonna walk you through this, you have to push right.. now!" Streamsight said.

I pushed as hard as I could, pain overwhelming me, then I felt relief as I felt a kit slide out of me.

I looked around, almost every clanmember was here and trying not to look out of respect. Brambleheart ordered out patrols and they left.

"Fallensky, lick the kit now!" Streamsight ordered.

Fallensky moved from my head and rushed over to the kit and started to lick it to get it to breathe.

I felt massive relief when I heard a loud squeak, indicating my kit was alive.

But the pain came back again. I let out a large groan as another kit slid out of me. "You're doing great, dear, just one more kit left!" Winnie stroked me with her tail.

Nightpaw instinctively rushed to lick the other kit. Another squeak came and I now had two kits at my belly.

Another roll of pain fled over me, worse then the last and I screeched. "Rosefall!" I heard Fallensky exclaim.

"I don't know if I can do this, Streamsight!" I yelled. Winnie comforted me with gentle licks around my ears.

"You've got this, I know you do, you're a strong warrior!" Streamsight said, great empathy in her voice.

I let out a large screech as the last kit slid out. I was exhausted. Huffing and puffing loudly.

"You did it! Two she-kits and a tom." Streamsight said as the third kit was licked and placed at my belly.

I sighed in relief. I layed my head down. Fallensky walked over to me and took Winnie's place at my head.

"We have beautiful kits, look," Fallensky let me rest my head on his body in a way where I could see our kits at my belly.

There was a black-brown she-kit who looked exactly like Fallensky and Batstar, a calico tom that looked like me, and a black she-kit with dots of ginger.

"They're gorgeous! Oh Fallensky!" I looked up at him. He gazed sadly into my eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked him, curiosity and concern filling my gaze.

"I know this is supposed to be a happy moment.." Fallensky sighed. "I saw how you were going to die. You were supposed to die during birth but you didn't, so now I'm confused.. is my power defective?"

I stared at him in shock. I was supposed to die?! Streamsight glared at Fallensky, Winnie looked at me with concern and Nightpaw shifted her paws uncomfortably.

"I'm scared StarClan will take you from me and our kits when we need you the most.." Fallensky said, ignoring Streamsight's glare.

"I thought she should know." Fallensky glared back at Streamsight.

"I'd have prefered to know, Streamsight. Fallensky and I do not keep things from each other." I responded.

I looked to Fallensky. He looked in my eyes. "I don't see anything for you now.. maybe StarClan decided to change fate."

"Maybe.. anyway, can I go to my nest with my kits?" I looked to Streamsight. She nodded.

Winnie and Fallensky helped me up. Winnie took a kit with her, so did Nightpaw and Streamsight.

My kits squeaked for me. "I'll only be a moment, kits!" I laughed to myself.

"Prepare for that to happen lots," Winnie laughed.

"Yep, but I already love having kits, even though I've only known them for a few moments." I entered the nursery and layed down in my familiar nest.

I sighed. My kits were placed at my belly, but squealed in protest. "Wait, I don't think I have milk!" I looked in panic to Streamsight.

"Don't worry. Nightpaw," Streamsight turned to the black she-dog. "Fetch the borage leaves I left outside."

Nightpaw nodded and rushed out of the nursery. "I'm so proud of her." Winnie said with a sigh.

"Larkfeather and Dewfall are phenomenal warriors and Nightpaw is an amazing medicine cat apprentice." Streamsight complimented Winnie's pups.

"I love them all so much." Winnie said. Nightpaw rushed in.

"Good now give them to Rosefall." Nightpaw gave me the borage leaves to which I lapped up quickly.

I looked to Fallensky. "What should we name them?"

"How about Breezekit for the black-brown she-kit?" He suggested. I smiled.

"Perfect." I purred. "I think Dapplekit would be good for the tom that looks like me," I suggested to Fallensky, he nodded.

"Could we name the last kit Flickerkit?" Fallensky asked.

"Thats a good name!!" I exclaimed. I looked to Fallensky. Three perfect, healthy kits. What more could I need? My life will be peaceful and happy now.

Or so I thought.
