ball season

CHAPTER 1

Lexi's POV

I was with my mom at the local Dicks Sporting Goods trying to find a good bat for softball, I had already made the team idk how though cause I suck ass at it but oh well. So far I have already gotten ball pants, glove, batting gloves, ball bag, cleats, a helmet and so much more but right I was looking for a bat it was a bit difficult because my mom and I don't know a lot about the sport and I'm doing it to try and get out of my comfort zone and try something new.
Now your probably thinking "Lexi why not just have your dad go with you instead of your mom?" Well.. my dad left..since day one my mom said that he told her he wasn't ready to be a dad and well it's just been me and my mom she is my best friend , my number 1 supporter, my everything. Also if I didn't mentioned I'm going to a new school kinda of late in the year because ball season has started but it was because my mom found a better job. so mom signed my up for softball and tomorrow will be my first day of 8th grade.

I was walking down to this row of bats for "softball" players and saw one that looked
cool it was a 30 inch bat. Me and my mom we're having trouble if it was a good bat or not. As my mom was looking at the bat more I saw a married couple walked over to us. "Hey, I saw that you guys look like you were having trouble do you mind if we help?" Said a lady with nice black hair. "Yes please! My daughter here and I are having trouble finding a bat." Said my mom her and the nice lady who's name was Jessica were talking about me and my moms life and how I'm starting softball. While the man who"s name was Dj was helping me finding a perfect bat.

"Okay so if you put the bat at the middle of your chest and put your arm out all the way then the tip of the bat should touch you finger tips and that's the perfect size!" Dj said with a smile. I did what he said with a 33 inch bat and it work! "So this would be the one!?" I asked "mhm" Dj hummed while nodding. "You'll be hitting far with that one i can already tell!" He cheered. "Thanks Dj!" I thanked the man "anytime kiddo!" He replied back. Dj and I walked back over to the moms who were talking up a storm. "Yep I got 4 kiddos!" Jessica laughed "Wow must be a hand full" my mother said with wide eyes, "yup well we better getting going, but give me your number and we can talk more! I'm sure my kids would love to meet Lexi!" Jessica smiled. With that the two moms got each other's number and went their separate ways.

I was in the car with my mother on our way home as she was telling me about Jessica and her kids. "Yeah there are 2 twin boys your age! One plays baseball and the other is a famous actor and boxer!" My mother said shocked. "Wow so we met like a famous family!?" I asked
"Basically!" She replied. And with that we got to the house!

Jessica Walton's POV

I had been telling my kids about Lexi and how she is going to their school tomorrow and they seemed to be excited to meet her. "She seems so awesome!" My youngest kid Daelo said "yeah, I bet she is gonna love Jayla" Javon laughed "nahh she if gonna like me more bro I'm the cooler sibling here!" Jaden said with a cocky attitude and a smirk with it " whatever!" Jayla replied to Jaden. "How about you guys all go to your rooms and I'll got put Daelo in bed?!" I said "okay" Javon said then all three of them said in sync "goodnight!" .
