CHAPTER 3

Lexi's POV
-outside the Waltons-

My mom and I had just arrived at the Walton's house. I step out of the car and walk up to the front door and I can already see a little boy looking out the window. My mother knocks on the door and Jessica opens it "Why hello!" She greets us , "hello!" My mom responded. Right now my mom, Dj and Jessica are setting up the table. Me on the other hand is sitting on the couch waiting. "Honey the twins are up stairs if you would like to go up there." Jessica told me, "okay thank you!" I say as I walk up stairs. A little boy runs up to me "Hey I'm Daelo are you Lexi?" Daelo asked me "yup that's me" I say while nodding "wanna okay Fortnite with me?" He says trying to do puppy eyes "of course!" I say in a duh voice, he takes my hand and takes me to a room with a massive bed and a pretty big tv with a ps4 next to it, "is this your room?" I ask "nope it's mine" Jaden says while walking out of his bathroom with wet hair and a normal outfit on. "Oh cool" I replied I been taking turns with Daelo in Fortnite, it is my turn and I noticed jaden is watching me "like what you see" I say he laughs "I mean if it's you then" he smirk, "Jaden! Mom said no inappropriate jokes when Lexi is over!" Daelo yells at him. I'm just laughing when jaden says "wow your really good, we should definitely be a duo" I was gonna say something until Javon walked in "I thought I was your duo partner!" Javon says "you are but I think Lexi is better.." "Too late, she said she will be my duo partner!" Daelo said with a proud look "well dinner is done so come down" Javon said as he was walking out. Daelo grabs my hand as we walk down stairs. "Looks like Daelo got her before you guys did!" Dj laughs "I'm a lady's man!" He says with (😎) kinda face, everyone starting laughing "well everyone please, sit!" Jessica stated. When I sat down I felt nervous asf, I was sitting in between the twins playing with my food.

Jaden's POV

I just normally eating when I noticed Lexi beside me bouncing her leg and playing with her food. I gently placed my hand on her thigh and slowly patted me hand on her jeans, she looks over at me and give me a fake smile, I can read through her like a book. she had stopped bouncing her leg and started to eat after everyone was starting to talk, Javon looked over at me and smirked. "So guys do you know what happed at school today?" Javon said then Lexi's leg started to bounce again I put my hand back to her thigh and gently squeeze it to let her know she's okay. "Uh is it what I think it is?" Jayla asked "yup!" "Oh shit I have the video btw!" Jayla laughs "I saw it, she deserves it Lexi I'm proud." Dj said " why thank you" she said looking more relieved "yeah do you even know who she is?" Jessica asked "she's a cu-" "never mind I'm gonna keep it pg.." Jayla says "idk who she is really but I wasn't really but idk where I was going to sit at lunch so I was gonna go to the bathroom and chill in there but uh she walked up to me and introduced herself to me and quote on quote said "stay away from jaden he's mine" and I told her to "sit her manic ass down and overdose on chill pills" and she called me a cunt and that's when I poured my food on her.." Lexi said "Damn.." I replied "Can't wait for the day you beat her ass!" Javon said. "Why what happened with her and you guys?" Lexi asked "Uh Jaden you wanna tell her?" Jessica asked "uh sure..Well uh Ava and I dated and we went to a football game and when I left she had kissed another dude..basically cheating on me.." I said plainly, "oh uh I'm sorry.." "it's fine" I say. "Well Lexi what's you social stuff we can all follow each other and I'll make a gc for us!" Jayla said trying to change the subject. Lexi had given us all her info and it was time for her to leave, before she leaves I asked her mom if we could talk in private and she was okay with it. " Hey Lexi follow me!" I say.

Lexi's POV

Jaden walked me into a bathroom. "So what did you want me for?" I asked "uh just really quick, so Ava..if she is bothering you let me know please?" He told me "Jaden I-" he had cut me off "no lex she will make shit up about you and I'm not letting it slide, also your gonna sit with me, my friends and javon at lunch okay" he said. He also gave me a nickname! "Uh yeah ofc!" I say back to him we walk to the front door and before I leave, I turn around and give him a hug "Thanks J" I say while hugging him "Of course lex any time" with that we waved our goodbyes.. "yay" can't wait for school tomorrow. I think to myself sarcastically.
