Months had passed, Leighton and I started to get to know each other. Our likes and dislikes, our favorites, we also hang out. Sometimes with Laishe but often with only the both of us and I can tell that I really fell for him more because pf his efforts.
In my past relationship, with Matthew I also felt that romantic excitement whenever he's around. I just can't understand why he chose to cheat cause we have a strong bond. Or it's because that I didn't gave him what he want? as far as I know the things you need in a relationship are respect, trust, love. I know that he also had needs like other mens but can't he respect me? can't he wait?
"So when are we gonna get marry?" he asked while playing with my hand.
"Just wait a little while, you understand me right I want us to be succesful together before getting marry"
"But we're succesful now"
"Yes we graduated and you're now managing a company and me I'm now a flight attendant but the question is can we live together without the help of our parents?"
He kept silent as he looked at me.
"We're 2 no almost 3 years together and we have a strong bond right?"
He nodded and smiled at me.
"No one can make us apart" he said that made me smiled.
He moved his face closer to mine and an inch apart before our face met. He leaned and was about to kiss me when I covered my mouth using the back of my hand so his lip landed on my palm.
"Matthew I thought we talked about this?"
"I'm sorry I just can't help it"
"It will be more romantic when our first kiss in on our marriage,hmm"
"Yes I know I'm sorry love" he smiled a little and kissed my temple.
I thought he'd wait? On the day of our 3rd anniversary, the day I caught him cheating. I was about to tell him that we can plan our wedding but I guess I'm wrong our love isn't that strong. He's a known playboy in our university but one day he confessed to me and said that he'll change for us and when he courted me, asked me to be his girlfriend, lasts for 3 years. He said that he'll change and I can tell that but I guess he can't keep promises, I don't want him to change to fit in our relationship cause I want him to change for himself, for him to see his worth.
My thoughts got blank when my phone vibrated.

I suddenly smiled at his words. He"s indeed a green flag.
After I parked my car I walked towars the entrance of the restaurant and the guard opened it and I smiled at him.
"Reservations ma'am?" the staff asked me.
I shooked my head and say "Leighton Smith" and she assisted me to the table where I immediately saw Leighton.
I thanked the staff and she smiled at me.
Leighton stood up and pulled a chair for me.
"Thank you" I said and smiled at him but he seems nervous.
"Hey is this your first time going out with a girl?" I snapped my middle and thumb finger in front of him.
"Yes" my jaw literally dropped at that. This is his first time? why won't he date a girl before?
"Uh huh okay relax" I simply laughed and looked away.
"Let's order?"
"Yeah"
After eating I noticed that Leighton was tensed.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yes"
"Okay stop that, you wanna say something?" I stared at his eyes that made him looked away.
"Fine"
"Drianna, the first time I saw you when we we're in grade school you unintentionally made my heart jumped in an unfamilliar reason.I thought I was just admiring you cause you got it all" he started while staring deeply at my eyes and I felt my cheeks heated.
"Until you gave me your handkerchief cause I left mine at home, that's the first time I saw you that close"
"I transferred on another school on middle school I thought that my feeling would end if I got distanced"
"But I was wrong cause when the school time ends I'll asked my driver if he can drive me off to your school an dthen he agreed. I watch you grow from a girl to a woman and I'm pissed whenever guys tried to approach you because I can't do that. In college that's the same that happened I'll always drove off to your school to see you, I was gonna confessed my feelings for you on your 3rd year but Ijust found out that you already have a boyfriend" I am shocked with was he's saying.
"But that didn't stop me from falling for you, I secretly gave you gifts because that's what you deserve, to be treated like a queen and me still loving you secretly I tried to forget you but I really can't"
"After 3 years I got a news that you and your boyfriend broke up, there was a happiness in me when I heard that but seeing you cry because of that guy. It's breaking me"
"Up until now I'm still loving you" he said and smiled at me, I saw a glistening tears in his eyes.
"I-l don't know w-what to say" I stuttered and my lip parted in shock I also felt something on my stomach.
"You don't have to say anything but I guess I need to say this cause I can't keep it anymore"
"Drianna Frailae Zeigler, may I court you?" he asked and gave me a flower.
I am shocked I can't even utter a word.
"I-I shoudn't ask that sorry" he said and I'm surprised when I saw a tear fell from his eye that I immediately wiped.
He looked at me in shocked.
"Who says I don't like you?" I asked him while smiling, tears flowing from my eyes to cheeks.
"Huh?"
"I liked you no I love you, so much" I said still holding his face that made him cried again.
"You don't get an answer from me but that doesn't mean I don't feel something for you"
"I'm scared to experience what happened 2 years ago, tho I'm fully healed and moved on"
"I'm sorry I'm making you feel sad sorry" I said and hugged him, he hugged me back.
"I love you I love you" he kept on whispering how much he loves and adore me.
"Are you willing to wait?" I asked that made him looked at me with wide eyes.
"Yes I am yes" he hold my hand tight and kissed it.
"Well then wait for me Zasre" I smiled at him and wiped my tears.
