Here we go.
The infamous tall glass building stood above me, threatening my right to be here. The sunlight reflected off the walls of windows and stared straight though me, judging every aspect of my life leading me to this point.
Why am I here? This is so stupid. Why did I apply to UA I don't belong here.
Because you need to get stronger.
"Right. Here we go" I took a hesitant stride towards the archway.
You got in legitimately, you took the entrance exam like everyone else and passed. The gate isn't going to seal on you.
It didn't seal, of corse it didn't. The building did not know the dark history that bought me to these gates, it was just a building. But it's what the building stood for that struck fear deep in my heart. Heroes.
Other students passed through the archway behind me, exited squeals and light chatter filled the air.
"OUTTA MY WAY YOU DAMN EXTRAS!" A loud voice boomed over the entrance, the quiet chatter halted, people around me were searching for the originator of the angry voice.
I remember that voice from the entrance exam, that spiky haired boy that kept destroying my targets. Asshole.
"DID YOU NOT HEAR ME? I SAID OUT OF MY WAY!" That was much closer than before, so close. Surely he couldn't be-
A hand gripped my shoulder and shoved me aside as that spiky blonde hair strode past me.
"PAY ATTENTION DAMN IT! WHAT ARE YOU, STUPID?"
"No I heard you loud and clear spikes, I just ignored you." I mumbled
A loud tsk came from the angry boy, clearly he heard me. But he continued to stomp his way towards the school. It was almost funny how he was walking, his legs were wide apart and taking very small strides, his hands in his pockets, his back hunched.
God I hope we're not in the same class. I might kill him.
I continued on inside the building half expecting it to just swallow me whole. Just got to find my classroom.
The hallways were long, glass panels fitted the right side overlooking the city, in the distance you could see the faint twinkle of the ocean. The sky still had a light red tinge to it. I had arrived early, mostly because I didn't have anywhere else to go. I'm surprised anyone else had even showed up this long before the day began, but I suppose they were exited. I heard the acceptance rate was as low as ever. Getting in to this school was nothing to scoff at. Every single one of these students had impressed the faculty enough to be enrolled in this birthplace of heroes.
I soon arrived at the door to my class. 1-A this is it. Behind this door is hopefully an empty classroom I really just want to sit down and not talk to anyone.
I started to slide the door aside, and peered into the room. And there he was, Spikes, he was sat there with his feet up on the desk without a care in the world. Fuck. My. Life.
There were 21 desks laid out in the room, the angry boy was sitting on the right hand side the second desk from the front staring up at the ceiling. There were 3 rows of 5 desks, and one row of 6 it looked awkward like there was one more desk than there should have been.
The extra desk sat at the back of the row Spikes was sat on, but the desks didn't appear to be labeled I guess it was first come first serve for where you sat?
Where the hell do I go? I don't want to be near that asshole but I also don't want it to look like I don't want to be near to that asshole.
I took the third desk back on the left hand side, close enough to not look like I was picking a desk to avoid him but far enough away I wouldn't have to engage in conversation.
