Ailsa sat at the table, tapping her fingers away to a tune that played softly in the background. Where was he? He had been gone for nearly 20 minutes now. She wasn't needy was she? She knew what Seamus could do, and she didn't want him making the same mistakes again. She was just a worried girlfriend right?
Was she his girlfriend? Her heart started beating rapidly at the thought of this. She wanted to be his girlfriend so badly. She wanted him to wait for her at the end of the aisle and look at her like he had never seen anything more beautiful. But if he kept acting like did tonight, she didn't know if she would ever see that day.
Everyone except for Neville and her were pretty tipsy at the table and she knew that he could sense her worry.
"Ailsa, do you want me to go check on him?" Neville asked softly.
"No, he should be back soon? Right?" Ailsa said trying to hold back emotion.
Neville sighed and took her hand. "I know it's hard Ailsa and you don't know how much we all thank you for trying to help Seamus get through all of this, but you don't have to keep putting up with all the crap he's been putting you through. We had all tried to help him, but we didn't have the patience. You're a rare person Ailsa, but you shouldn't be wasting all your years on the hopes of him being like he once was."
Ailsa let a tear roll down her cheek. "But I can't do that Neville. I can't give up on him."
"Why?"
"Because I love him."
Neville took a deep breath. "Then you should go after him. If you don't come back in 20 minutes then I'll come looking for you."
"Thank you Neville." Ailsa said as she kissed him on the cheek. She stood up and started walking the way that Seamus had left.
She walked for a couple minutes, past the house and the celebration when she saw a faint light. The light was closer to the Muggle village, but hopefully not close enough to where any muggles could see it. She started walking quicker and she could make out Seamus and a girl? She didn't know exactly what is was that was standing near Seamus. It had a blueish glow to it and resembled a young woman. But no human would glow like that.
That was when she started sprinting as fast as she could and the woman and Seamus' voices were getting easier to hear. She was less than 30 feet away when the woman looked like she was starting to fade. Ailsa raced to a point where she stood next to Seamus. She looked directly into the woman's ghostly eyes, The woman smiled at her and said "Tell my family that I am happy and well. And Ailsa please continue to take care of him." And then as though she was water the woman rippled away until nothing stood in front of them.
They stood there for what seemed like minutes, saying nothing, not looking at one another until Ailsa finally had the courage to speak. "Was that..."
"Yes." Seamus said bleakly and then out of no where looked up and started marching off into the distance.
Ailsa had to walk briskly to keep up with him. "Where are you going?"
"I don't know."
"How did that happen? How is that possible!?" Ailsa cried.
"I don't know!" Seamus said gruffly.
"What did she say?"
"None of your damn business." Seamus roared.
Ailsa tried to keep a tear away, but a single one fell. "Did I do something wrong?"
"Yes you did! You stayed at the castle while you should have went to Hogsmede! If you would have, Greyback wouldn't have tried to attack you, and I wouldn't have saved you and Lavender would still be alive! It's all your fault!" Seamus cried. "Give me your wand."
"What, why?"
"Because I left mine at the table and I need to cast a spell." Seamus demanded.
Ailsa careful not to anger him anymore handed him her wand. "I don't know how well it will work for you..."
She noticed that they were in front of a small abandoned house on the outskirts of the village. Within a minute of handing her wand to Seamus, he muttered something and fire erupted from the unicorn wand. Flames engulfed the tiny cottage. Seamus took Ailsa by the hand and they walked back to a distance where they were safe from the fire.
"You are the one that's been doing this aren't you?" Ailsa spoke in the softest voice imaginable. Seamus detected an emotion in her words but did not know if it was fear or pity. Seamus did not reply because he knew that she knew it was him.
They sat down on the hill, watching the flames grow brighter in one area of the cottage then move to another. They were both crying, neither knowing what the other was thinking nor wanting to ask. With everything that had just happened within the last half hour, it was surprisingly the most peaceful moment they had shared.
Their utopia was destroyed when shouts could be heard from the other side of the hill. Thankfully they were not coming from the muggle village, but from the way that Ailsa and Seamus had just come. The next half hour seemed to go by almost in both slow motion and fast forward. Multiple people from the wedding came shouting with their wands pulled out yelling out various spells to try and control the fire while Ailsa and Seamus just stood there numbly. Someone had put a blanket around Ailsa's shoulder and tried to pull her away but she refused to leave Seamus' side.
It wasn't until Harry stood in front of them that they had to untie their fingers. They were being led in different directions when they broke free and ran back into each other's arms and gave each other one last kiss and both whispered into one another ear's, "I'm so sorry."

And, Heart on Fire will not be ending anytime soon, I thought I had ran out of creative juiciness, but it has returned! At least 10 more chapters. If not more. Maybe a sequel. I don't know.
Love you!
Thanks,
Kennedy.
