"Ah, you're awake. Your father will be here shortly." Recovery Girl sits next to Izuku, who's only just woken up from a six hour nap.
"What happened?" Izuku mumbles.
"You went too far. Your quirk broke your body. Technically only your arm is broken, but if it had taken any longer for you to get here I doubt that you would've walked away healthy from this situation." Chiyo sighs.
"Oh... I'm sorry." Izuku clenches his fists. He notices the resistance he gets from his own body, it's like his fingers don't want to do anything for him. Just grabbing at the blanket that covers him is a painful task.
"It's quite alright. Just promise me that you'll be more careful." Recovery Girl ruffles his hair.
"Mhm." Izuku hums.
"I'll just be in the other room, call for me if you need anything." Recovery Girl walks towards the door.
"Okay." Izuku nods.
He's left alone with simply his thoughts and a throbbing pain up his body. Each breath he takes is painfully drawn out. He's left wondering if he's worthy. He ponders if he can even handle the power of One for All.
'Even with a quirk I'm still weak...'
He quickly shakes the thoughts out of his head. Izuku doesn't want to think about that stuff right now. He can't think about that.
He lets his mind wander to his friends. Hitoshi, Katsuki, and Shoto. They're much nicer to think about. So Izuku lays in the hospital bed with his mind on his friends.
One friend, Hitoshi, is just across town right now at a low security prison visiting his mother. Hitoshi is dressed in a nice pair of jeans and a clean shirt. He left the orphanage with a feeling of glee. It's not often that he gets to visit his mother, he looks forward to it each night. He patiently counts the days until he may visit again. And he's stopping by now. He brought bento boxes for himself and his mother. He wants to have lunch with her.
Hitoshi and his mother have been working out the legal figures of who his legal guardian will be. Hitoshi really wants to live with his mother once she's out of prison, but as it seems right now, his mom can support the two of them. She'll need a job and housing. Not to mention she wants to go back to school. They're in a hard place right now. Hitoshi feels the need to figure it all out right now.
"Hey! It's villain boy. You aren't going to brainwash me and rob a bank are you?" The familiar voice of one of Hitoshi's tormentors shouts from across the street.
"Oh boy..." Shinso grits his teeth.
"Heading to the prison? Or would that be home for you?" A girl laughs.
"I don't have time for you." Hitoshi hisses.
"Come on Shinso! Just say that you're a worthless villain and we'll let you go. Seeing as you're so busy." The bully cackles.
"I'm a worthless villain. Now leave me alone." Hitoshi glares at the bullies who have fully stopped in front of him.
"Alright. Go ahead, villain." The girl gawks.
By the time that Shinso walks by the bullies, he's entirely blocked them out. Their teasing and shoving means nothing to him. He knows he's not a villain. And he thinks that if he keeps telling himself that then it will be true.
Once he's through the gates of the prison it only takes a few seconds for his mother to find him. She has dark purple hair, much darker than the soft violet that Hitoshi bares. Her eyes are dark like her son's, she's not terribly proud of that.
