The exterior world turns dark as night progresses over Musutafu. The heavy rains from weeks before continue tonight in strong winds and heavy rain. The conditions make it difficult to sleep for most, so Izuku considers himself lucky to be a heavy sleeper. It only takes him a matter of seconds for him to slip into unconsciousness after he ticks himself in. Emiko lays next to his feet half asleep in the foul weather. They share their warmth as they sleep.

Deep in Izuku's subconscious he dreams away. And what is normally sweet dreams of friends and family, tonight he's experiencing the other end of the spectrum.

"Hello? Hellooo?" Izuku's voice echoes in a dark space.

The entire area around him is dark, and the ground below him is covered in a layer of water that comes up to his ankles. Each step he makes is loud no matter how much he tries to be silent.

Izuku's body is covered in a dark green and swirly mist. His mouth is periodically covered and sometimes he can feel his hands, other times he can't.

He reaches out, looking to grab onto something that might help him but he ends up falling on his knees. He sees his reflection in the bizarre water fade away, it's replaced by a woman. She has long black hair that's kept in a ponytail and she wears a white cape over her black costume. To Izuku, something is familiar, but he can't place where he's seen her before.

At first he put his hands down in the water to try and see if she might've needed help but all of a sudden two bright yellow gloves sprung up from the water and started to pull him down. He tried to fight them off but his quirk wouldn't activate. The hands became tight around him and he started to sob as water filled his lungs.

He coughed and gagged as he choked on the murky water. He tried to cry out for help but he felt like his efforts were worthless. He wasn't sure that he would live but all of a sudden he woke up.

He sprang out of bed, scaring Emiko. He coughed for a moment before looking at his hands. They weren't covered in the smoke anymore, he could see them again. Slowly he touched his arms where the gloves had grabbed him. They weren't sore, they didn't even hurt. He felt heavier than before though, like there was now a weight living in him.

"Why do I always have the weirdest dreams?" Izuku whispers to himself.

He sighs and lets Emiko leap into his lap. She gives him puppy kisses to try and comfort him. But he's not sure what's going on.

This is the second dream he's had like that all week, and he's starting to become scared. He checks his clock, it reads 5:10 AM.

"I guess it's not too early... let's head down stairs." Izuku holds onto Emiko and walks out of his room.

He doesn't know what he's going to do about these dreams but he knows that he has to do something.

A few hours later, around seven, Toshinori awakened and made his way downstairs. He stumbled into the kitchen for a cup of coffee and didn't notice Izuku sitting on the couch until he returned to the living room.

"Young Izuku! I didn't even realize you were sitting there, you're so quiet. Why are you up so early? You do know that it's Saturday, don't you?" Toshinori sits next to his son and gives Emiko a few pets.

"Yeah, I know. Actually I wanted to talk to you about something." Izuku frowns.

"What is it? Did something happen? Are you hurt?" Toshinori panics.
