"EZRA!" I shriek, jumping away like a spring. In the corner of his room, is a giant spider about the size of my entire head.

Okay, maybe it's not that big. But it's at least as big as my palm and I have abnormally big hands.

That sounds wrong.

Forget I said that.

Why do spiders even exist? So they can crawl into your ears and eat your brain until you're a vegetable??? I've always loathed any sort of insect, mostly because of my reoccurring fear that they might crawl on me while I'm sleeping and bite me or something. I hate bugs.

The only acceptable spider is Peter Parker. I'll make one exception.

"What!?" Ezra shouts, jumping up from the bed where we'd been hanging out on his bed scrolling through TikTok silently.

"There's a fucking spider!" I yell, pointing at it.

"Oh, please..." He scoffs, lifting himself to get a look at the spider. A yelp emerges from him as he jumps up next to me.

"Well?! Get it!" I give him a light shove.

"You get it!" He picks me up easily and aims me at the vicious creature in the corner, waiting to eat me.

I scream as loud as I can, causing Ezra to clamp his hand around my mouth to silence me. So I lick his hand and he hisses, jerking back. I fall onto the mattress at the absence of his grip under my arms.

"Did you...lick me?" He asks. I cackle evilly.

"You animal." He grumbles.

"Fuck off. What do we do?!" I yell, referring to the spider.

"Evacuate the room and hope for it to die within a week." He says.

"And where do we sleep?"

"Your place." He shrugs, without removing his gaze from the eight legged monster.

"I suppose, but then you'll have a spider corpse in your house."

Would I have ever imagined myself discussing plans because of a spider with a man twice my size? No, never.

"God.." He hisses, jumping off.

"Are you fucking leaving me in here! As a sacrifice?!" I shriek.

"I'm getting a vacuum!" He shouts, running out. "Watch the bastard!" I look back at the corner and notice it's gone.

He runs back in with a small vacuum.

"Where is it?" He asks.

"No clue." I whimper. He groans.

"You had one job!"

"Oh, fuck off! You distracted me!" I justify myself. Seriously though, does it move at light speed of something? I swear I looked away for TWO second.

"I know, I am very distracting." He wiggles his eyebrows at me.

"Woah, I think you're head just got bigger!" I mock surprise, putting my hand over my heart, and he rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you'll find a brain back there." I say.

"Fuck you." He spits, in a joking manner.

"You fucking wish." I scoff.

"You got that right, darling." He taunts. I roll my eyes.

He laughs before jumping back on the bed with me, the whole bed shaking.
