Chapter 18: Imagining A Better Ending

I was in Master Mythos' throne room, kneeling in front of him, "Master, forgive me. Blowout and Giant got away, but I took Hansel and Gretel from Blowout. He can't transform."

He simply smiled, took the book, and said, "This is fine. The books are what matter most. Just keep going on as you have been. There's no stopping what we've already set in motion."

I was patrolling for Fearbeast activity when Holobones jumped out of nowhere.

"Just the knight I was looking for." he said, "I'm gonna need your Ride Book along with Brother and Sister."

I groaned, "You again? I was hoping for a challenge."

"Don't assume it'll be the same as last time, Cyclone. You think you knights are the only ones who train."

"Only, I get stronger through hard work. Not feeding off fear like a coward! Let me show you the difference."

I transformed and fought Holobones again, but it wasn't as easy as last time.

"It seems you're gonna give a challenge this time."

"Quick question. What is it you fight for?"

"Justice, duh?"

Holobones attacked with his scarf, "And what is justice to you?"

"Not having creeps like you terrorizing humans! Is there a point to this? Or are you trying to distract me?"

We were clashing swords until Holobones pulled back, "Then you may not be mad at me when I say I'll destroy Nightmare World and every Fearbeast."

"But if you did that, then Dream World would also cease to exist."

Holobones laughed, "You think I give two shits? Let it die!"

"No freakin' way!"

I slashed at him, but Holobones dodged most of the hits.

"To be honest, I kinda like your attitude! I think you might be my favorite knight to play with."

When we clashed again he told me, "Maybe I'll steal another Sacred Blade."

We jumped and hit each other in mid-air. When I landed, I turned to see Holobones was gone.

"Where'd you go?" I demanded.

No response.

I changed back and called out, "You're a pussy, you know that?!"

Holobones wanted to become a Rider to destroy Nightmare World? I couldn't let him do that! I had to find Aurelia.

We arrived up the mountain just in time to see the human natives of the Archipelago gather on the mountain.

There was an old, yet muscular bearded guy leading the army.

"My fellow Harmonians now is the time to strike. The dragons are slumbering in the fields below us, awaiting our arrival so they can eat us. But we will not allow it! We will get them before they get us! We will become stronger so now other race threatens humanity!"

The people cheered and then readied spells to ambush the dragons from afar.

"That's our cue!" said Evander.

We transformed into Giant Vol. 2, Wonder Chronicle, and Shine. Shine used a blinding light to stop the attacks.

"Who is that?" demanded the leader.
