Chapter 10: The Story of Destruction

The biggest distortion ever occurred in Wyvern Cove. The people were running away in fear. A child next to me cried out in pain. He'd tripped and fallen. He looked up to me and asked, "Stuff like this keeps happening every day! Is the world gonna end? Are we all gonna die?"

"No one is going to die." I assured him, "Not while they're here."

"Who are they?"

"They're Kamen Riders."

I pointed over to my brother and our friends, all six of them in their Kamen Rider forms.

"The source of this distortion is in Dream World." said Evander, slicing open a portal to another world with Giant Killer, "Let's go!"

I picked the kid up and carried him away, he seemed more at ease seeing the knights go off and fight. This chaos was unlike anything we'd seen before. I hoped Mark was ready for it.

Mark

We cut our way through hordes of Page Imps. Then this flying swordsman swooped down and hit me.

"I take it you're the one behind this! Why?" I demanded.

"My name is Emrys, and I wish to save the world. So long as power exists, people fight over it. You have no idea about all the deaths and wars that occurred over the power Dream World offers."

"Destroying imagination isn't the answer! There has to be a better way!"

We started clashing swords and Emrys scoffed, "That is a child's mentality!"

He then finally knocked me down, "The temptation of power has corrupted this world! Removing the temptation, that is the only cure!"

"But if you-"

As I got up and started to protest, I was slashed and knocked back down.

"That's how people were a thousand years ago." Emrys insisted, "How they will be for the rest of time!"

"Even so, what gives you the right to take away our future?"

"My mission is to create a better world. I will destroy Dream World and the power that comes with it. Then I'll destroy our world so a better one may take its place."

"Thanks, but no thanks." said Evander, "The world my son loved...I like it just the way it is."

"Just because people mess up doesn't mean we can't learn from it and grow together." added Aura.

"Plus, a world without power and imagination would be boring as hell." added Manon, "I wanna keep pushing myself to see how strong I can be and read the comics that nerd writes!"

"Humans offer more to the world than conflict!" added Rowan, "There's literature, art, sports, technology, cuisine-"

"Don't forget about music, bro!" interrupted Ramon, "That and all the stuff Rowan said makes up the badassery of human history!"

I went into my third volume form. My battle with Emrys moved farther away from the others.

"You're not strong enough to beat me, boy! This world's as good as gone!" he insisted.

"You don't decide our ending!" I told him, "Everyone should be able to choose that for themselves! Imagination isn't something to be afraid of, it's what lets us reach our full potential."

"Shut up!"

Emrys sent me flying back, but I wouldn't stay silent, "There's more to the story of humanity than conflict! A world without imagination would mean all the good gets lost too!"
