It was two months since the gang had done anything. Bain had stopped the usual small bank and jewel jobs that helped keep the crew's pockets topped off. The gang now twenty members strong was starting to run out of cash. Bain wasn't doing much better. He was beginning to crack under the pressure which was rare. The decisions about the gang's future were questionable at best. Luckily for him and the gang, Bain was contacted by Joe Cabot a powerful west coast crime boss. He was organizing a job on none other than the Garnet Group as well. Bain liked the way Cabot ran his operation because much like the gang Cabot's crew used nicknames to keep their anonymity. They used colors as their names so it shouldn't be too hard to remember. A few days before the job Bain intercepted a strange email that was sent to commissioner Garret. It was from a Japanese email address called "thehanginggardens@beyondyesterday". The email read as follows "He has ravaged your coasts, burned your towns, and destroyed the lives of your people. Mr. Garret, what does stopping your nemesis mean to you?" This unnerved even Bain but he pushed on with the plans. He once again made a questionable choice in only sending Dallas, Wolf, Hoxton, and Chains to LA to meet up with the crew but they didn't mind as they were just glad to be out of the house. They were hitting a small downtown location with a gang almost as professional as themselves. This job was sure to be a slam dunk. The plan was simple enough. The four gang members accompanied by Mr. Brown, Mr. Pink, and Mr. Blonde from Cabot's crew would enter the store for some light casing then they would clear the store and bring in the rest of Cabot's crew to assist in opening the vault and crowd control. They all met up at a warehouse to go over the final details then they executed. The seven heisters walked into the store with the others laying in wait. The store was oddly quiet for its location. It was just the cashier inside but it was eight am after all so the crew didn't put up too many many red flags. Mr. Blonde went to go speak to the cashier but just as he opened his mouth a bullet flew through the window and right into Mr. Brown's head killing him.
"AMBUSH!" Chains yelled drawing his gun and diving behind a display case.
Wolf pulled his gun and shot the cashier straight in the face then also took cover. Two sets of doors behind the cashier opened revealing an army of SWAT waiting for the gang. Dallas looked outside to see even more SWAT converging on them as well as the majority of Mr. Cabot's crew fleeing the scene. The other six took care of the cops in the store while Dallas contacted Bain.
"Fuck. It was a setup. Call Twitch for extract" He said.
"Negative. You're getting that vault open" Said an oddly calm Bain.
Dallas thought for a moment.
"Fuck fine"
"We use the same plan but with a bit more resistance than planned"
Dallas peeked up and saw the cops were dealt with so he got up.
"Chains, Hox, Blonde hold the front of the store. Don't let any of those pricks in. Wolf, Pink in the back with me let's get that fucking door open" He instructed.
The front crew began fortifying and beginning a holdout while the vault crew went over the plan.
"Ok, how do we get the door open?" Dallas asked.
"Well, we need to use the liquid nitrogen to soften the locks then your creepy friend here can drill through" Mr. Pink explained.
"Then fucking pour it. We're kinda being shot at if you couldn't tell"
Mr. Pink began pouring the liquid nitrogen in the spots Wolf needed to drill while Dallas went back into the store to help hold off the cops. About ten minutes later the gang heard what sounded like Wolf screaming. Dallas immediately ran back and saw Wolf holding onto the drill and shaking. He remembered the job they did for that rat Hector a while back.
