CHAPTER 8-Forerunner Structure

This is a LONG one.

On the Super Carrier above Alpha Halo, Thel Vadam was looking at a report of the battle near the Pillar of Autumn. He was surprised to hear that the infamous Strike Team Ravager was there. He cursed at their arrival. During his campaigns, he has only heard stories of The First Order's best team of warriors. He and many other high-ranking officials have a reasonable fear of them. The Prophets had classed them as Hyper Demons while some call them, The Unkillable Grim Reapers. That's what they call the Sith Killer's since no Covenant Warrior has killed one before. They don't even know if they can die.

Thel was honestly worried. He worried that the Hyper Demon's would destroy the Holy Ring. That he could not let happen. But he does make a mental note to tell the Prophets that the Hyper Demon's have returned. But his biggest concern, is not them at the moment, but some weird report about a Mysterious Forerunner Facility. He had sent Elite's to investigate but they never returned. He would suspect the Parasite but they are being kept locked up elsewhere. So he intends to go down with Rtas to figure out what's going on.

(ALPHA BASE)

Keyes stood by a holotable with Strike Team Ravager and Jango.

Keyes: "So you've been fighting the Covenant as well?" he asks.

Keyes was filled in on what the First Order was. To say he was surprised was an understatement. He was ungodly shocked to hear about a stronger faction than the Covenant that has some Covenant members within its Ranks like the Brutes.

(I don't remember when the Elite's joined the Banished so it will only be Brute's until Halo 3 passes.)

Jango: "across the Galaxy, we've taken 13 worlds so far from the Covenant." he said.

Keyes: "at least we have allies, gives me and the rest of my men some hope that we'll win this War." he said.

Acer: "The UNSC and First Order has a 98% chance of success in this conflict." he said. "and a 2% chance of failure." he said.

Keyes: "Good to hear." he said. "anyway, I thank you for the assistance."

Jango: "just another day in the office." he said.

Keyes: "damn right." he said. "besides first introductions. Some of my ODST's have detected a Forerunner structure on the ring. Numerous Covenant forces went in and never came out. Figured it'd be worth looking into, so I put together Fireteam Raven along with a few marines and Me to go in and investigate." he said.

Kimiko: "Captain, you'll be heading right into the battlefield. There's no telling how many Covenant are stationed there." she said.

Keyes: "I can assure you, I know fully well what I'm doing." he said.

Kimiko just nods and backs up.

Jango: "Strike Team Ravager will accompany your troops. Kimiko and Acer will join with your forces while Kali and Canis head into the facility. Khamul will assist with providing overwatch." he said.

Keyes: "roger that." he said.

Keyes is obviously outranked by Jango who is a General. It surprises him to see Jango on the ground with his troops in combat gear. That alone earns him respect cause Keyes likes to fight with his own men.

Canis: "When are we heading out?" he asks.

Keyes: "Right now." he said.

(TIMESKIP)

In another part of the ring, a large forest sits. A large Forerunner Facility sits in the middle of it and between two Mountains. The are was covered in darkness as nightfall had arrived. A Phantom hovers close to the tree tops before finding a clearing. The Phantom descends into the clearing and down into a large crater in the ground. It soon lets out five Elite's. Thel along with them. Geared up and ready. He looked up and saw two other Phantom's fly over head. His Phantom rose up into the air and flew off.
