Shadow stood there and watched as the humans looked around confused as they looked around. He noticed how Lio was looking around longingly for his daughter.

Whispers of questions floating around such as, "Where are we?" and. "What so they want with us?" And finally, his personal favourite. "Where are our children?"

Shadow rolled his eyes. Seriously do you have dirt in your ears. Or is it because you've lived underground for so long. Also it's your own fault you lost your children. You weren't even keeping an eye on them.

"Ask Lio!" He stared angrily at Lio. "His daughter led them right to us! This is Kipo's fault!"

"No, this is my fault. The mute who took us, he has it out for me." Ohh, so Scarlemagne wants revenge. Though I don't understand why. Maybe if I listen more to this conversation maybe I'll hear why.

"What?" One of the humans before being spritz with pheromones like the others brainwashing them. They started coughing before the effects took place.

Lio gasped as the perfume bottle was lifted up towards him. Scarlemagne saving him in the last few seconds.

"Uh-uh-uh..." Scarlemagne said. "Not him."

Shadow clenched his hat and pulled it down. Oh come on. You have to ruin my plan. He mentally grunted in anger. Though Scarlemagne didn't notice it. Lio did and backed a bit away from him a bit in fear.

Shadow notice this and let go of his hat but pulled his collar upwards so he didn't notice his slitted eyes.

"Hugo... I mean, Scarlemagne!" Oh that would of coast your life if you didn't correct it. "This is between you and me, let them go."

Scarlemagne laughed before saying, "It is between you and me. And that's precisely why I won't let them go."

Shadow raised an eyebrow in confusion. That made no sense what so ever. You don't know them and Lio knows them because their friends. Maybe you should do it to is his daughter. Who's name I don't know?

"What are you going to do with them?" He already told you like 10 minutes ago!

"So much, dear Lio. So much." He then broke off into dance like the other.

Lio looked around in confusion before looking at Shadow saying, "Do they do this often?"

"Si" Shadow nodded. Meaning; 'Yes'.

"Should I be concerned that you don't speak English?" Lio questioned as he watched everyone else.

Shadow shrugged before going silent.

Skip to a hour or less later

It was night now and Shadow loved it. He found the darkness welcoming. His tail was curled around his legs. His cape wrapped around him to hide the scars he was given.

His hat lowered as he looked down to see the 'safe zone' he was told about. It was called Rat land from what he remembered. A large quantity of flamingos were flying behind them.

It was then that he saw two rats wearing greenish attire. Probably two of the workers here. One of them had a dark blueish pelt almost completely a dark grey. The other similar to the other one but Shirley we and had whites that could be found on her snout trailing down to the beginning of her tail.

"He's back." The second one whispered as she looked up at the sky. To see the flamingos squawking.

Few minutes later after they had descended

The crowd was screaming loudly making Shadow recoil and cover his ears at the large amount of noise.

"Attention Rutland patrons: Please remain calm and find the nearest exit." She then started to whisper. "Especially if you're a human." Returning to her normal voice. "Thank you! Mercu beaucoup."
