we idolize the illegal.

we dote on those who do the illegal and get away with it.

we then begin to think we too, will get away with it.

that the consequences don't apply to us, like how they don't apply to them.

t.v. makes it look fun.

makes it exciting and okay to do.

makes it something that everyone should do.

magazines make it look like it happens all the time.

that it's just another "scandal".

media makes us blind to reality.

we forget that t.v. is not real and that magazines are full of lies.

so then we lie to ourselves and make it alright.

and then when reality kicks us in the ass with the consequences, we have to take the blame.

because we aren't those people on t.v., who are pretending to be someone they are not.

because we don't all have the ability to be forgiven as easily as they are.

because they are not real.

and we are.

and when that hit us, we break down.
