Gotham City EDT

We find ourselves in the city that was once the largest rat's nest in the entire United States. Although there were many who still considered her that way, there were others with more age or hope who noticed the changes during the last years. Either by the people of Gotham themselves or by their masked protectors.

Those who saw only a rotten and doomed city hid to try to avoid being swept away. Others came out to try to make the most of their sinking.

A small number of said people were gathered in an old building in the lower parts of the city, although their clothes said otherwise. These eight people, each different by gender, size, or race or ethnicity, had one thing in common. They were all criminals with high positions in the underworld of the city. Seated at a round table, with a guard behind each one.

"What the hell are you saying? Didn't you prepare this?" asked one of the traffickers, tired of waiting for whatever they've gathered at this time of night and in this area that was considered neutral ground between criminals. "So whose party is this?"

"I thought it was you eastside losers" said another of the guests "you already gave in with Black Mask and imagine that they would ask us for help"

"Surrender? Black Mask killed six of my gang in a month. Six!" another of the guests said forcefully hitting the table with indignation "they were one of my best men"

"Did you fix this?"

"I thought it was Chichi"

"it's not my meeting"

"Oh to hell with this! I'm out!" yelled one of them getting up and placing his hands against the table "if you want to waste time and-"

"Sit down Freddy" said a new voice. Mobsters and bodyguards raised their heads to see a male shadow standing over one of the corridors suspended above them "it's my meeting"

Everyone was alerted and scared to think that he was the protector of Gotham and the biggest pain in their asses.

Batman!

"We did not do anything!"

The man in the shadows stepped into the dim light in the building. He was wearing a dark brown leather jacket. He had a red bat symbol on his chest. Underneath a kind of gray but it was not ordinary clothes. Gray pants, gloves, and black military-style boots, with a knife sheath strapped to his right leg. His identity was covered by a red helmet with two small white eyes on it. If his appearance wasn't flashy enough, the machine gun in his hand was "well we all know that's a lie".

"Kill him!" everyone drew their hidden weapons.

Neither had a chance to even pull the magazine. The mysterious man aimed and shot at his guests. They all took cover from the gunfire, jumping in any direction away from the bullets until the sound stopped. The chairs and table were full of holes.
