9:00.

Class is finally over and I grab my books and quickly carry myself out of the class before I'm trampled by the other students. I keep my head down to avoid attention, it would be History Lecture Hall but I don't take that anymore. I climb the two flights of stairs separating the downstairs of the school from the upstairs. As I walk through the halls I hear boys yelling.

"Kaden! That shot during the game was awesome! Congrats on the winning goal!" I could recognize that voice anywhere, it belongs to Ryan Sanchez and I knew well enough that with it came a stampede of boys following him.

"Thanks, 39-38," Kaden replied, "was a pretty tight game!"

"Ryan! Wait up man!" A third voice, this one closer, I whipped around to see who it belonged to and in the process was knocked over, books spilling across the hall.

I immediately tried to get up and gather them, causing me to hit heads with the stranger who knocked me over.

"Hey, I'm sorry about that," the boy looked at me and offered his hand to help me up.

"Charlie's such a screw up!" A boy yelled over.

The boy, who I now know as Charlie, turned toward the voice and yelled back, "Like you aren't! You better watch it Sean or I'll kick your ass harder next game!"

I giggled at their childish argument.

"By the way I'm Charlie," he said.

"I-I'm Samantha-" oh my god I can't believe I just told him my full name I'm so stupid "o-or Sam or S-Sammie," I nervously stuttered, "you can call me whatever you want." I must sound so stupid oh god, my thoughts raced through my head, I hated meeting new people.

"Alright, I'll call you Sammie, how's that sound?"

"G-great- I mean, yeah t-that's cool"

He laughed, then picked the rest of my books off of the floor. "Alright I'll see you around Sammie." He handed me my books and with that he disappeared into the crowd of soccer players.
