Papyrus is outside, idly working on a puzzle. He looks up, seeing the both of them before their awful smell hits him "Stop right there! Neither of you are stepping inside smelling like that!"
Sans looks at him, then at the creature before looking back "Hey bro-"
Papyrus irritatedly says "Don't 'hey bro' me! You and your friend reek of rotting refuse!" As he grabs the close-by hose.
"Aw chute, can't the kid get inside to wash up? And here I was thinking I had a perfect trash pun, should have expected it to be absolute garbage." He chuckles, looking over and talking quieter "I'd duck if I were you kiddo"
"Seriously?? Puns??" Papyrus sprays the creature down with the hose.
"I thought that was pretty good, guess it was in the dumps though. Told you to duck, kid"
Papyrus gets more irritated at this, spraying Sans with the hose "There, now you can go in. I'll make us a delicious dinner, we can have proper introductions after we're all cleaned up and had some food." He heads towards the door
"That sounds good, but maybe keep it a bit low-key, the kid's jumpy" Sans says to Papyrus quietly as he walks towards the door. "you coming kid?"
The creature stands there for a few seconds before walking inside with the brothers.
