Proper Introductions

It's been a few days since Little Knight showed up, and it's holding a basket as papyrus picks apples to put in it. Sans is sitting under a nearby tree, watching and thinking before saying "You've gotten a good handle on Signing since you've gotten here, Why don't we take a break to re-do introductions?"

Papyrus stops, setting the last apples in the basket, taking it, and setting it down by Sans. "Despite his lazy motives, I think that's a great idea!"

"So, do you have a name?" Sans asks, standing up.

It signs Sans and Papyrus reading before Pap guesses with "Container? Box?" It signs again

Sans guesses this time with "Vessel?" and it signs 'correct'

Papyrus starts "Thats..." and Sans cuts him off

"Do you have a nickname? Something more...personable?" he asks. It signs 'Ghost'

"Do you want to be called that? Ghost?" Pap asks. it signs a 'No' followed by 'Knight"

"YOU'RE A KNIGHT?!? WOWWEE, IS IT LIKE THE ROYAL GUARD?" pap nearly shouts from excitement, then rambling on about how the Royal Guard disbanded after monsters got to the surface, that he wanted to join and would have been able to at the time but again, they disbanded before he got the chance to. he continues rambling about how Undyne was the leader and while she's not part of the Royal Guard anymore, she's super strong and everyone knows that and respects her. She helped teach him how to be as strong and as well as how to cook, and they used to hang out a lot but she's really busy nowadays, she leads the local police force now and has a lot of work from that. He stops, taking a few breaths. The Little Knight has been standing in tense silence, looking like they regret asking to be called 'Knight' Papyrus looks like he's about to continue when Sans pipes up, interrupting Papyrus's train of thought. 

"Should we get lunch going?"

"Oh, is it lunchtime already?" Pap looks around a bit before checking the time "I'll get some lunch going then. Can you two take these apples to Toriel's like we promised? 

The Little Knight picks up the basket, looking over and watching Papyrus leave before pausing, looking back into the forest. Sans pauses as well, looking at Knight then the forest.

"Here, I'll take the basket." he says, taking the basket and looking out to the forest and around. "...Did you see something out there?

Knight looks at Sans, out to the forest then at the path out. The sign "Hoping to have. Searching."

"Searching....for what?" Sans asks, leading the way to Toriel's.

Knight follows, signing "Siblings. Friends."

"You have siblings? How many are there?" he asks as they get to the edge of the little town.

"Many, though very few have survived to today." they sign in response. 

"hmmm... Well, we're here now" Sans says as they stop at a small house with flowers growing by the window. He knocks on Toriel's door, waiting a moment

"Hello, who's there?" A soft voice comes through the door. 

"It's Sans, with a buddy and some apples like you asked, " he says, and the door opens. Inside is Toriel, wearing a plain purple gown and an apron.

"Oh, hello there, what's your name? Mine's Toriel" 

"This is the kiddo Pap and I've been helping out, they go by Knight. They don't talk." Sans replies

Little Knight nods, signing "No Voice" 

"Ahh, alright. Let's look at these apples, check for anything" Toriel says, looking at the basket. Sans steps in, setting the basket on the table.

"Sure thing Tori, c'mon kiddo," he says, and Knight walks in looking around a little. "By the way, Paps is making some lunch. Wanna come over?"
