"Oh! That sounds nice. I'll make an apple pie for afterward!" Toriel says.
Little Knight looks interested, signing "Can I help?"
"Of course, you can, dear Knight. First, we'll wash and peel some apples. We'll be using warm, not hot water and towelettes to wipe off any dirt." She grabs 4 of them, setting them in the sink, and quickly turning on the oven to preheat. "Could you grab 3 more apples on your way in?" She asks, then turning on the water. Little Knight does so, setting them by the sink and grabbing a cutting board. They place that on the table, looking to see what to do next.
"Eager, aren't we?" Toriel says, smiling. "the peelers are in the left-most top drawer if you could grab two out while I finish washing the apples" Little Knight looks at the drawers, opening the specified one and looking for what would most likely be a peeler.
"I don't know if the kid knows what that is. We don't use one much and..."
Toriel interrupts, saying "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't think of that. Here, I'll grab them Knight." she steps over, pulling two peelers out and handing Knight one of them "This plastic part is the handle." She grabs an apple, starting to peel it and showing them how to "Start at either the top or the bottom of the apple, and go over it continuously with the stem pointing sideways for time efficiency and to cut off less of the inside of the apple. Make sure you're peeling away from you, not towards. These have sharp blades, and will cut you if you're not careful."
Little Knight listens, taking an apple and starting to peel it after she finished explaining.
Toriel smiles, and the both of them continue to peel the apples until all nine are done. Toriel then starts cutting them into chunks, Little Knight watching curiously.
"Now, could you please mix the seasonings for the filling while I make the crust? I left the recipe book open to the page for it.
Knight signs "OK" and looks at what the recipe says before grabbing the ingredients for it, mixing them, and adding the apple chunks. Meanwhile, Toriel is mixing together the crust dough, putting it in the pie tin and into the oven for a few minutes for it to get cooked.
Soon enough, Sans gets a text as Toriel checks the crust, pouring in the filling and returning it to the oven. He checks it, reading that it's from Papyrus
'I made sandwiches with some chicken! What are you and Little Knight doing?'Sans types and sends 'Tori and 'em just finished making an apple pie. It's in the oven now' and says "Pap made sandwiches and was just wondering what we were doing"
Papyrus sends a text reading 'I'll bring the sandwiches over :>'
Toriel looks over, Knight now standing by the window. "We've made a pie, did he want us to go out for something? I can't really just leave with the oven on.."
