I was knocked from my daze, as a blast of water sent me flying back beneath the waves. The cool early morning tide ignited all my senses. Something about the water always reinvigorated me. I swam to the surface and floated on my back for a moment. Looking up to the sky at dawn was such a beautiful sight. The sun was beginning to peak up over the horizon as the crescent moon of the night said goodbye for now. This morning however I couldn't help but stare at the moon, looking for some sort of sign from the woman in my dreams. "Geez I knew you weren't a morning person, but I didn't think I'd be able to land a hit that easily!" Juvia swam over to me as the waves rocked me further into a trance, my eyes transfixed on the parting moon. "Hello-o, earth to (Y/n)," Juvia called as she splashed some sea water onto my face. "Sorry Juvia, I'm just a little out of it this morning. These dreams are really starting to mess with my sleep," I said as I began swimming to the shallow waters where the sea met the land. "Well try and shake it off, we're so far behind everyone else, and if we are going to win the Grand Magic Games we have to be focused." I rose to my feet as I reached the morning tides and shook the memories of my dream from my head, "I know, I'm sorry. We need to get our training in now before you're too distracted by Gray." Juvia's cheeks turned bright red as she huffed in embarrassment from my teasing. "Let's just continue," she said as she took a fighting stance, "hit me with everything you've got." I nodded, taking my stance as well and closing my eyes. The water lapped at my ankles as I closed my eyes, letting my magic swell like the waves of the sea. When I agreed to train with Juvia, I knew it would be good practice, similar to when I used to train with Lunala as a child. However I knew there was so much she never taught me, I only ever learned a handful of the secret arts, and even those I hadn't mastered when she left. That's what I needed to focus on before the games, mastering them and getting to Natsu's level. I'd never even reached dragon force before, I mean sure Wendy hadn't either, but I was much older than her. I need to get stronger.. Natsu, Gajeel, Laxus.. I'm so weak compared to them. If I'm going to be any help during these games I have to reach dragon force. I took a deep breath and locked eyes with Juvia. Raising my hands to my chest as I chanted, "Water dragon secret art: Arms of Triton." I focused my magic to my hips as the spell began to form dual glowing blue blades from the water vortex that spun around me. Unsheathing them I charged at the water wizard across from me. This would be good practice, as I couldn't harm her since her body is made of water, so I just had to focus on keeping the blades formed for as long as I could. "Water Slicer," Juvia shouted as she sent blades of water towards me. I honed my senses, feeling the vibrations of the water around me, hearing the attack slice through the air. Raising my swords, I deflected two of the blades coming towards me from the sides, and ducked as one flew over my head. I growled, picking up my pace, zigzagging through the attack, and closing the distance between us. My breathing was ragged, and I was putting all my energy into keeping the blades formed. Only a few more feet, I thought as I inches closer to the water wizard. I brought my swords up, crossing them above me, preparing to strike. "Water Nebula!" I was thrown back from Juvia as the spiraling helix assaulted me. I screamed, the water's edges felt like razors as it whipped around me. When I finally landed, I was battered, bruised, and laying on my back in the spot I had started. My blades had disintegrated as I lost my focus from the brutal assault. I rose to my knees, panting heavily, but more determined than ever. "Hey why don't we take a break," Juvia suggested, a worried tone in her voice. My hair clung to the sides of my face, and as I looked down into the water I felt raw magic power surging inside me. I only caught a quick glimpse of my reflection, but somehow it didn't look like me. The reflection had stark white hair, and eyes so blue it was like the whole sea was inside them. The only color coming from the pale figure's skin was bruising, and a glowing crescent moon on her forehead. Her expression was one of anger, and yet still calm and composed. I only looked for a second before my head snapped up, my body instinctively moving into a spell casting form I was unfamiliar with, at least I thought I was. My arms swiped at my sides as the chant left my lips, "Moonlight Daggers!" An army of crescent shaped discs left my hands. Glowing so brightly, as if they were made of pure light. Like they were pure moonlight. I felt like I was having an out of body experience as I watched them bombard Juvia. Her body may have been made of water, yet somehow quite a few of the blades hit her. As she cried out falling backwards, I snapped back to reality. Rushing to her side, I began apologizing profusely as I helped her to her feet. "Water dragon: Dews Embrace," I said using the little bit of magic I had left to heal her wounds. The water danced from my fingertips, trailing around her body as it erased the damage. Going down her legs and back into the sea as all her injuries dissipated. "W-what was that," Juvia huffed as she looked at me in shock. "I have absolutely no idea," I said, falling to a sitting position in the water, as my thoughts spiraled in my mind.
