Y/n's POV

I sat alone in my room and thought about that rehearsal. It was absolute hell. How could I cry like that as a grown woman? The routine wasn't even that hard and I have performed in front of hundreds of people many times in the past. I hated myself for letting that man break me down like down.

Flashback: 12 years ago

Y/n was 13 years old and she had just finished performing. It wasn't like any other performance. There were judges watching her from many parts of the world. It was a beautiful performance which wasn't surprising for anyone.

"Y/n there's a few people who want to meet you" Ms. Lawrence said to the girl once she got off stage.

There were many people from Spain, France, Germany, Russia and Italy who all wanted to talk to Y/n convince her to dance in their countries. At first they were talking to her politely but then I became an argument about her. Everyone wanted her as their dancer but she didn't want to leave her family. So many people were yelling and she couldn't even hear herself think.

"Can you all shut it?" Ms. Lawrence yelled louder than anyone else. "Y/n is just a child, her parents aren't even here and it's her choice to choose where she wants to dance, now will you all leave and give this girl alone please" everyone was silent and quickly left.

Y/n then decided that she was going to stay in London with her family. Some people still reached out to her and called her 'wasted potential' for not wanting to leave her family. It was something she still thought of and no one outside of her family could know about it.

End of Flashback: Y/n's POV

I got up and stopped feeling bad for myself. I decided to go to the local garden to take my mind off of things. I changed into a more comfortable dress and headed out.

"Mother! I'm going to the garden, I'll be back" I said to my mother before leaving the house.

I decided to walk to the garden and get some fresh air. I walked past the post office and saw a newspaper on display. The headline said: Failed Dancer, Y/n L/n has Great Fall on Stage!

There was a picture of me at the theatre on the ground with tears in my eyes. It just reminded me of how I felt in that moment. It was the second time he tried to break me down and it was starting to work. I started walking faster to the garden so no one could see me. When I got to the garden I quickly made my way to the maze. It's been one of my favorite places for years. When I was younger and I wanted to ditch my parents for a few hours, I'd come here with Timothy and we'd just read and play games. I heard the bushes start to rustle.

"Timothy, if that's you leave me alone" I spoke up.

Albert's POV

I didn't respond to Y/n, she must've been hurting a lot but I wanted to be there for her.

"I'm not your brother" I replied to Y/n. "Then who are you?" she asked. "The eldest Moriarty" I finally saw Y/n.

She was sitting on the ground and she was wearing a comfortable dress, which is something I haven't seen from her. It looked like she was crying, her eyes were watery and her cheeks were flushed.

"You saw the newspaper didn't you?" I asked her. "You know too?" she asked me. "...yeah" I replied to Y/n while taking a seat next to her. "I wish I wasn't a woman in this world" Y/n spoke up. "What do you mean?" I asked her. "My only role is to look nice, get married and have a man's children" she explained to me. "I've seen that man in action before, he isn't right for you" I said to Y/n. "He put that together didn't he?" Y/n asked me. "I'm not 100% sure but I think he did" I told her. "How did he find out about the failed dancer thing?" she asked me. "Failed dancer?" I asked Y/n. "You didn't know?" Y/n asked me. "You've never been a failure in my eyes. I remember when I was younger and my mother dragged us to see you perform, I was just a kid but I've never been so astonished by someone's movements" I complimented her.

Her cheeks turned even more red.

"Why can't Spencer be as kind as you?" Y/n asked. "Can't you marry someone else?" I asked her. "If I could, I'd pay you to marry me but that's pointless because you've seen every part of me already" Y/n went on. "What's wrong with that?" I asked her. "It's already problematic and also I can't forget that night because I know that no one will ever kiss me like you did and make me feel how you did" she vented.

I started to look her in the eyes and soon I was getting closer to her. Our lips eventually met, my hand was on the back of her head and I kissed her as if she was mine. It reminded me of that night. We soon parted and Y/n looked at me.

"I missed that" she said to me. "Sometimes I wish I could relive that night again" I admitted to her.
