Albert's POV
"Do you even remember that night?" I asked Y/n.
She didn't respond to me, she just stared into my eyes like she did that night a week ago.
Third Person POV: The night of the party
Albert was talking some people at the party until a woman caught his attention. He had seen her a few times that night and found her interesting because no other person, man or woman had been able to drink as much as he did. Y/n however, did that without even feeling tipsy.
"Do you know who that is?" Albert asked Sebastian. "Y/n L/n she's Myron L/n's daughter" he explained.
Y/n and Albert shared a glance. Just at that moment when they made eye contact made Albert realize that they met before. It was many years ago but he was sure it was the same dancer. When he was 10, him and his parents had watched her dance.
"I'm gonna talk to her" he said. "You're learning from me" Sebastian raised his eyebrows.
Albert ignored him and approached Y/n.
"Have we met?" Y/n asked him. "17 years ago, Moonlight Sonata" he replied to her. "I knew you looked familiar" she was impressed.
How could someone remember a performance from that long ago?
"Did you need something from me?" Y/n asked Albert. "Not really, I just thought that I'd ask you to be my partner and dance" he said to Y/n. "Well...how can I say no to Lord Moriarty?" she replied before taking his hand.
He pulled her close to him and one of his hands held onto hers and the other hand was on her waist. Y/n put her hand on his shoulder.
"Do you still have it after all these years?" Albert asked. "Think you can keep up?" she was quick to reply after speeding up her steps.
His eyebrows raised but he didn't have any problem keeping up with Y/n. He didn't mind being lead by her. Y/n started complicating the steps.
"You really think you can mess me up?" Albert asked with a smile on his face.
The music then slowed down and he put both of his hands on Y/n's waist. She put her hands on his shoulders. Y/n was blushing so she hid her face in Albert's shoulder.
"Flustered are we?" he asked. "Shut up" she replied quietly. "It's been a while but it's been fun" he put his finger under Y/n's chin and gently made her face him.
Her body started to heat up and she couldn't break eye contact with him. It felt like he was the only one in the room and nothing else mattered. Y/n was under his spell. His emerald green eyes were enough to make her fall for him.
Lord have mercy she thought to herself.
Albert then got closer and closer to Y/n. She thought he was going to kiss her, so she turned her head.
"That's adorable, you smell just like the roses in your garden. Do you spend a lot of time outside?" he asked her. "I do, I find it very calming" Y/n replied. "I agree, it is very relaxing" Albert agreed before letting go of Y/n. "Albert wait" Y/n said. "Yes?" he asked her. "Don't let go of me" she said. "How can I say no to Miss Y/n?" he said.
The two continued to sway to the music until they both got bored. They went and got more wine and then went outside to the garden.
"I've never enjoyed a party this much" Y/n said to Albert. "I'd have to agree" he replied. "Albert...do you wanna maybe get out of here and do something?" Y/n gazed into his eyes. "I thought you'd never ask" he smiled at her.
Albert held onto Y/n's hand and guided her out of the garden and to the back of the mansion. There was a carriage waiting for the two and they went to the Moriarty Mansion. When they arrived, it was dead silent.
Perfect Albert thought.
He lead Y/n to his bedroom and poured a drink for the both of them. They had at least 4 drinks.
"We're both gonna regret this tomorrow" Y/n said to Albert. "I know right?" he agreed, not wanting to think of the next day. "There's no stopping us now is there?" Y/n said. "What are you trying to say?" Albert asked. "You're smart, you know what I'm talking about" Y/n put her glass down.
She was inching closer and closer to Albert and he sat her on his lap. His back was pressed against the headboard and he started to remove Y/n's dress.
"That was faster than I thought" Y/n said to him. "I can't wait, I want you" he said, staring into her eyes.
Y/n unbuttoned his shirt and then he ripped off her corset. She laid him down on the bed but Albert turned her over.
"I'm sorry but you don't get to be in control" he said to her.
The rest was a blur.
Present: Y/n's POV
I was blushing like an idiot thinking of that night.
"You know that was my first time right?" I said to Albert. "You were really bold for someone who never did it" he said. "Is that a compliment?" I asked. "It's whatever you think it is" Albert replied to me. "I feel like I should tell you something" I spoke up. "Yeah?" he asked me. "I will be living with Spencer soon" I said. "Y/n, leave while you can" he said to me. "It's too late for me, I want you to know that you were a one of a kind and I can never forget you" I told him my true feelings. "Y/n don't leave me" Albert spoke sadly.
I kissed him one last time.
"You will always be the man I love, if I had the choice, I'd marry you" I said, with a tear running down my cheek.
I wiped it away and I turned my back and got out of the maze. I needed to stop crying and do what was right for my family even if it put me in danger and pain. I could never be with Albert even if he loved me.
Albert's POV
I got up and felt a little hurt. I was old enough to get married and I had the chance to choose the woman I want to marry but I was too late. Y/n and I wouldn't have worked out anyways.
