'It feels like things was moving on too fast... but those late nights in the library with you felt like it lasted forever.'

And for that...

Late nights in the library seemed almost normal now. Everything had been moving at a fast pace since Anna had heard the secret. The planning of the escape seemed to be going on great besides the constant hiding of Isabella and Krone finding out.

The guilt of the others not knowing that he was Isabella's spy had came back after Anna was told the secret.

"Should I really tell her?" Ray mumbled sitting in the library, on another late night. It had been like this ever since he was able to fully remember what was actually happening. But as of lately, it had been happening more and more often to where he was still up every night.

"Hiding secrets again?" A tired voice asked entering the library. It was Anna. She had been up throughout the nights as well, not being able to sleep knowing the house's secrets.

"No. Well yes. But I think I should just come out and say it." Ray answered, sitting down at the table, opening up the seat next to him.

Anna came and sat down next to him before he started.

"There's really no way of sugar coating this..." Ray started. "The others figured out that their was a spy among us... And that spy is me. I've been Mom's spy since, almost forever."

Anna didn't know what to say or to do. She just sat there taking it in, letting it settle, before she gave her input on it.

"Was it hard?" Anna asked looking at Ray.

"It felt really hard knowing that they weren't all going to foster families, huh?"

This time, it was Ray's turn to sit quietly and take it in. He never really processed the things that Anna was asking him over the 11 years he's been in their home. Ray was about to speak when he felt a warm embrace from the girl next to him.

"I'm sorry that we couldn't be my help to you." Anna whispered.

This broke something inside of him, not knowing what, but he did know that he started crying. Anna realized that she had made the older one cry. Anna let go and quickly apologized.

"I'm sorry!"

Ray gave a small smile before hugging Anna. Both settled into the hug and soon, falling asleep in the warmth of each other on the cold November night.

Anna and Ray woke up to the sound of children running through the halls, but also laughter. They both sat up in their chairs before looking at the source of the laughter. It Norman, Emma, Don, and Gilda. Along with some of the younger kids. They all had been watching the two sleep wondering how and what they were doing.

"So, did you two sleep good last night?" Norman asked the two sitting down on the other side of the table in front of them.

Ray and Anna looked at each other before looking away. Both were embarrassed before they quickly put themselves back together and faced the others.

After their eventful morning of being questioned, they all continued with there day, all still wondering about the two.

"We never got an actual answer to what they were doing in the library, so what do you think they were doing?" Emma asked Gilda as they were sitting in the grass near the forest.
