81194 Loves 48194 // and vice versa

Nighttime Nightmares

Summary:
Another late night for 81194 and 48194 but it isn't a regular one like always. Instead, they talk through a nightmare that one of them has and tries to go back to sleep afterwards.

Beginning Notes:
I have so many things I need to say rn so this might be longer then usual for this beginning notes, but:

1. I apologize for the late upload, My sleep schedule is so bad (I woke up at like 5pm today)

2. My class schedule just came out and I start school on Thursday (my orientation is tomorrow)

3. I don't think I'm going to update next Monday, since next Monday is going to be the first full week of school for me (last year of middle school TToTT)

4. I'm thinking about starting some other fics (My Fairy Tail phase Is kinda ending again, but I'm going through my Anohana phase again)

But yeah!! So I wanted to try start writing some Angst? But I have no clue how I'm gonna do it because I'm not really an emotional person but here it is!!

March 2, 2046

After almost three months after the escape, the nightmares are finally getting to me

How bad was everyone else's nightmares when we were gone!?

The clock on the wall rang three times, ringing throughout the quiet, dimmed, filled bunker. Only three was awake at this hour. But the fourth was shortly about to join.

Ray had just finished reading in the library once again and had just left the archive. Walking towards the kitchen to grab water before going to bed.

Earlier that day, they all had officially roomed everyone. The Grace Field children finally getting beds instead of sleeping on the floors and the Goldy Pond children having a room to share and call it theirs instead of a random one that was empty.

The sound of the water filling up the cup shortly started echoing throughout the bunker. The clock having been replaced by the overlapping sound, also overlapping the soft footsteps approaching the kitchen.

"Hey... Didn't know you were still awake."

This voice somewhat scared Ray, chugging the cup of water down and placing it back onto the counter then facing the other who was awake.

"Didn't you went to bed a couple of hours ago?" Ray asked leaning against the kitchen counter.

"Had a nightmare." Was all that Anna had answered with before they both sat in silence of the night. The background sound not being completely quiet as in the first room of the bunker, was the two oldest people, Yuugo and Lucas, talking and laughing. Like they had been since the first night the Lucas had arrived.

An unknown amount of time passed before the two decided to go to the main room and talk about the nightmare that Anna had just had.

"So, how does this nightmare start?" Ray asked, taking a seat next to Anna as they both stared off at the empty furniture in front of them. "Actually, what is this nightmare is a better question." Ray added. Fixing his question.

"Well... It started with me going through the Tunnel from the gate at the house." Anna started, voice wavering as she spoke. "And when I exited the tunnel I was walking through the same forest from the house and then I saw the house. But it looked different." Anna continued.

'Probably one of the other four houses from the plantation.' Ray thought, continuing to listen to Anna. Nodding his head along to tell her to continue talking. "So what happened afterwards?" Ray asked. Anna sitting in silence as she thought about it again.

"Everything else afterwards is kinda fuzzy and I don't remember a lot about it. But what I remember is that I was the mom of the house and I was taking one of children to the gate..."

He probably wouldn't have called this a nightmare, more of a 'What-if" situation but at the same time, he also had to remember that she and all of the other children are still trying to get over what they're original life was.

"Was that it?" Ray asked after another unknown amount of time.

"The demon I saw... It was the same demon as from when I first saw them... and the other time as well."

"You've seen a demon from the gate twice!?" Ray exclaimed, confused as to how she would've seen one.

"The day that Rosie was getting shipped off, Mom took me to the gate during play time." Anna started. "Mom thought that I was asleep. But I saw the demons that day."

"But you- you couldn't have been younger then two or three!!?" Ray commented.

"You remembered everything from even when you weren't born yet."

Ray sighed before letting Anna continue. Asking about the second time.

"The second time that I saw the demon... It was when Sister Krone arrived. Me and the younger kids were playing Hide and Seek and I saw the gate open and Sister Krone coming out of it. With the Demon and some old lady behind her." Anna explained.

"This demon, what did it look like?" Ray asked, wondering about the demon.

"It had this oval mask that covered his entire face, turning into a point at the bottom. He had two eye wholes vertical from each other, and some long fingers with even longer finger nails. With some horns on his mask." Anna described.

'The same demon that Emma and Norman had described when Conny got shipped out... and the same demon that I saw with those other babies.' Ray thought, knowing what demon she was talking about.

"Moving back to this nightmare of yours, what happened after you saw the demon?" Ray asked, moving the topic from the demon and towards the dream.

"Right... So when we got to the gate, Mom was there with the demons. She said that she was 'grandma' or something and then the child-"

"I think I get the gist of it." Ray stated, cutting Anna off. 'Mother as grandmother?' Ray thought, starring off into space about it and the demon that the four of them had seen before. Snapping out of it when feeling a weight being put on his shoulder.

"These damn kids." Yuugo muttered, looking at the two sleeping in the main room side by side.

"Told you they reminded me of someone and somebody." Lucas teased, walking up to Yuugo from behind.

"Lucas, I told you to shut up about it." Yuugo said. Looking at the two sleeping before grabbing a blanket and throwing it on them. "We've done this like, three times this week already." Yuugo stated.

"How often do you think this will happen?" Lucas asked, crouching in front of the two sleeping children.

"So often that this and the library will be considered their sleeping quarters." Yuugo answered.

Minutes passed by of them talking about them before deciding that they would talk to them in the morning. Morning being in a couple of hours when the first groups of children will start waking up.

Ending Notes:
I realized like halfway writing this, that this is kinda like the Prologue, Ray being up at a late hour and Anna not being able to sleep. But the difference is who is still awake at this hour, Isabella most likely awake in the Prologue and Yuugo and Lucas awake in this chapter. I love them so much TTuTT

This chapter is kinda me wanting to start writing some Angst because you cannot have a fanfic without that (love ya) and also kinda one of my fanfic Ideas of the three oldest girls from Grace Field becoming moms. (I have no clue if I will actually write that)

I think you can tell that I like having Yuugo and Lucas talk about Ray and Anna and also a former friend. Just feels like something they'd do?
