That Karma... They are truly the child of her...

Beelzebub was amazed by the comfort of the room while checking every corner. He didn't think that his cousin cared about their convicts - Or maybe, is it because of his plead?

He wanted to know what was going on in their head.

His hand holding a bouquet of flowers nervously. After several minutes of looking at the room, the demon spirit decided to sit on the small sofa that was surrounded by walls. In front of him, there was an invisible barrier that separated the room. If he was being honest, the most curious thing in this room was the red button on the armchair.

Beelzebub's heart was beating fast. This was his first time seeing them after their divorced that happened long time ago. Because his siblings and cousins forbade him to see them until now, he's not sure if this was a good idea. However, the owner of golden eyes needed to do this or he would have regret this for as long as his life.

Calming down, the white-haired demon took the courage and let his dark-skinned hand touch the button. Suddenly, the wall in front of him changed into a thin glass. An angel sat on the other side of it. They looked so tired and thinner than the last time he had seen them. Quietly, he waved his hand to make them notice him and it worked.

The black-haired angel turned around with their grey eyes widened, "Beel? Is that you?"

"Yeah..." He replied gently, "Good to see you again, Miles."

Suddenly, the pale skinned jumped toward the glass.

"Beel! Thank goodness, I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too..." Beelzebub was taken aback by their reaction but quickly regained his composure, "Did you have eaten yet?"

"Yep! The lunch was delicious... Unfortunately, it didn't taste the same as yours."

Miles pouted, making him wished that he knew this side of them before they separated.

"... You're exaggerating," the golden-eyed demon-spirit smiled bashfully, "but... thank you for your compliments."

The black-haired grinned when they saw the smile, "You seem happy. Did somebody get you falling to your knees?"

"Wha..." His pale cheeks turned red, "you still remember that?!"

"Of course, I do. It's cheesy but I didn't see it as not too worth it for being a proposal, " Miles teased him while fiddling with their fingers, "so... Is it true or not?"

"No. I don't have any intention to remarry yet," he answered sheepishly, "I'm just focusing on my job for now."

The angel's grey eyes widened while pestering, "why not? I thought you wanted to have your own family someday."

Hearing that, made him wonder if he could be honest with it. After debating with himself, he decided to tell them.

"That wish... It's already fulfilled before I even knew it, Miles."

The angel's hand covered their mouth, "Do you mean..."

"Yes, I have a son now."

"Oh," The black-haired angel's mood became sour as they mumbled while playing with their short hair, "I thought it was something else."

Both of them sat in silence, Beelzebub still needed time to process what Miles was feeling right now. While searching for how to continue their conversation, he noticed something in their room.

"Is that a television?"

Miles looked behind them and answered, "Yup. Your cousin was generous to give me one, I can't do anything to it though. Not even escaped through it."

"I'm sorry for that," The demon-spirit laughed nervously, "But, you have to be patient or they will make you stay longer than this."

"I know," Miles chuckled, "your cousin wants me to make more mistakes so they have a reason to punish me even further. Isn't that so childish of them?"

Hearing that, Beelzebub instantly turned his head around, worried that there's something could record conversation between them. When there were no indications that they were eavesdropped on, he faced his ex-spouse with a relief look on his face.

"You're lucky that they didn't listen to our conversation right now," he sighed, "please refrain from talking behind their back too."

"Alright, alright, I'll stop. Never knew that you still have concern for me, Beel."

Miles raised both of their hands with a timid smile.

"Why don't I?" His golden eyes warmed up then he smiled, "You still have a place in my heart, my dear Miles."

Not expecting that answer, the angel's cheeks heated and they can't look at him anymore. "I see... You never changed at all," their grey eyes glanced for a second, "that's good."

The white-haired demon-spirit wanted to say something yet his throat couldn't continue the words anymore. He became uncomfortable with the awkwardness in the room. Fortunately, he was saved by the announcement from a speaker in the corner of the room. There were only 10 minutes for him to stay here.

"I have to go now, " he stood up and left his bouquet in a void on the wall, "don't forget to check your mailbox. There's a packet for you."

The angel couldn't believe their ears, "you brought a gift for me?"

"Well... I thought it was inappropriate if I didn't bring any," he answered shyly, "hope you like it."

Then, the owner of golden eyes walked away and turned the doorknob. Halfway through turning it, a voice suddenly stopped him.

"I'm sorry..."

He turned around to see Miles kneeling on the floor.

"I'm sorry for everything I did to you... Beelzebub. Please... forgive me, " they pleaded quietly.

His heart clenched yet he could feel the burden fall out from it. Thus, he said something that was always on his mind.

"You were already forgiven a long time ago, Miles."

The angel's eyes were in disbelief, "really?"

With a smile full of weakness, he bid his farewell.

"Yes, and see you next time, my dear."

After checking his ex-spouse for the last time, Beelzebub opened the door then went through it with a peaceful mind and heart. This made him wanting to go home faster to see his family – the family that he always dreamed on.

Several hours after their reunion, Miles ate their dinner while thinking about their ex-husband. The angel missed how the demon spirit was always beside them when both of them were having meals together. If it's not for their 'stupid' behaviours, perhaps this loneliness would not even exist.

A dropped sound woke them up from nostalgia. Carefully, they checked their mailbox and took out the gift that was mentioned by their ex before. With a curious mind, the short-haired angel unrevealed the wrapping cloth of the bouquet.

The content inside of it made them stunned.

A nostalgic tiny notebook and a bouquet of white tulips, their favourite flowers. Forgetting their foods, Miles hurriedly arranged the bouquet into a vase and stared at it adoringly. Unaware that their eyes holding back the overflowed tears, the angel smiles bitterly.

"Thank youfor your gifts and may you always be happy with your family, you liar."
