"Aah... I see. In the end, you betray me too."
Rayleigh clenched his jaws as his beloved king opened his mouth. The king who threw his land to the burning fire was on the ground now. His tanned hand was still holding his twin words. A stone supported his body more than any loyal servant now. Allen laughed sarcastically while touching his wounded chest.
Rayleigh already knew this is what his king wanted. Yet, his heart was still in pain.
"Your Majesty..."
"Stop calling me yours, Rayleigh. I don't deserve it anymore," the red-haired king grinned amusingly as his hands let down the swords, "you should save it for the next king you will loyal to."
Unfortunately, his knight didn't take the joke well.
"Your Majesty," He said sternly as his red eyes glared at his king, "are you doubting my loyalty for you?"
The owner of dark blue eyes smirked, "perhaps."
Rayleigh gritted his teeth while tears flowed from his eyes.
"That's it," the black-haired man approached him with a sword in his hand, "I had enough of your nonsense."
The dark blue eyes glistened while he asked, "what will you do with that sword?"
"Anything to make you take back what you said before," he answered, standing within sword distance.
"Finally, you made up-"
The king's sentence was stopped halfway as his mouth was shut by the lips that he always looked forward to. It was so intense that the red-haired king's head spun. Repeatedly, his hands tried to resist him.
"Wait-Ray, stop-ah," he moaned in between kisses.
Even after his begging, his knight unusually didn't obey his order. Allen couldn't escape and his strength slowly exhausted from intense. His mind blurred, there's no prediction he could see right now. In the end, he melted down under his body.
Seeing his beloved giving in, Rayleigh smiled and gave him the last ones before he stared at him lovingly.
"How is it? Is this enough to convince you, your Majesty?" he asked.
"Not enough," His blue eyes avoided looking at him, "I bet you will also do this to your next lover after all of this over."
Rayleigh sighed, "you sure have greediness, your Majesty."
Then, he kissed him again before gazing at the slightly scarred face.
"I, Rayleigh Nyx, swear on my name..." He cupped his face and pleaded, "your Majesty will always be my only beloved."
Allen teased him while leaning on his hand, "Who is your Majesty again?"
"The only king of my heart," The knight smiled, "his Majesty Allen Freya De Obelix."
The king of fire's smile became brighter than his magic. Unfortunately, it only happened for a little time as his blue eyes started to dim. It was earlier than what Allen expected, yet he didn't regret it at all-This is what he wanted, after all.
Allen gazed lovingly at the knight who always beside him ever since they met for the first time. Even though it wasn't romantic like it was supposed to, he always loves how much his knight's love to him never change at all. He didn't want to say goodbye but the death already arrived in front them, waiting him to say goodbye. Allen sighed while closing their distanced with all his might.
"Rayleigh."
Seeing his beloved king losing his strength, Rayleigh held him close to his chest while whispering.
"Yes, your Majesty?"
"Listen to me carefully... because I don't want to say it again."
The knight lent his ear more closely. His black hairs mangled with the red hairs while the three different skin colours embracing each other warmth. Rayleigh let his head laying on his shoulder. He was wondering what his king would order him, then his ears caught something that made the red eyes widened.
"Live without a guilt about me... Do you understand me?"
The knight nodded while he's still trying to understand what the order meant for his king. Maybe because of his mind, he wasn't convinced by his words alone which a rare thing he do in his life. Yet, there's no words coming out from his mouth to deny his order. Then, he felt warmth on his lips.
It was unexpected for him, but he tried to enjoy it until the last. After several minutes, the king let go of him while his dark blue eyes gazed into the red ones.
"Call me... by my name... like you used to before I rose for the throne," Allen plead to him while his arms wrapping his pale neck, "... please..."
Rayleigh almost let out his dried tears. The black-haired knight thought that he already prepared ever since his king shared the plan. But, in reality, he didn't want to let go his beloved king yet. Maybe in the next life, he will be more willingly to let go of him.
After choosing what the best he could do right now, he planted a kiss on his king's forehead longingly then adoringly called his king by what he wanted.
"Allen."
Hearing that, a smile submerged once again. The red-haired king put his tanned hand on his knight's cheek proudly while he closing the gap between them.
"Finally... You said my name... I'm proud of you... Rayleigh..."
In the middle of the burning buildings, they brushed one's lips against another once more. Both of them didn't arrange where's their plot ended, yet their mind agreed to continue this unexpected opportunity. It was a tender battle between the two while desperately calling each other names – until one of them felt the coldness on his lips.
That's when he knew, his king couldn't hear him anymore.
