"So," he begins, cordially.
"Your sibling speaks quite highly of you."

"That isn't surprising!
We're twins, after all."

He laughs.

"I know that, I meant..why do you both act so odd around others?
I mean, I understand beings of natural elements are seen as 'different', but..."

She sighs, turning back to the crowd.
All dancing and singing without a care to be had.
She take a sip from her glass and continues to speak.

"Well, I am sure you've heard the story about how Asgard and the nine realms came into being.
How..everything was made?"

"Yes."

"In simple terms, elemental and natural gods came into existence once reality did.
Whereas most are born of flesh and blood, we were born as need to a task.
A coordinator, if you will."

Loki stares at your sister with a glint of curiosity about him.
It's clear he had previously known this information, but something about the way she explained it...it gave an entirely different perspective.

"Some were older than most while others stayed in constant state of youth.
For Mani and I, the stars gave rise to us.
Despite our almost identical appearance, Mani was created first.
Initially, the role provided was of night and space.
Overseeing all that happened on the astral plain..
Odin quickly realized that having such a young child do such an incredible responsibility on their own was less than ideal."

"Thus you were created?"

She nods, taking another sip of wine.

"Despite what everyone says about how are roles are insignificant, we are not only the rules of night and day.
We live as a balance for all nine realms.
One cannot function without the other."

"I see..so you and Mani...you have no family? Other than the two of you, of course!"

"Yes.
Initially, however, it wasn't supposed to be like that."

"Oh?"

Sol switches hands with her goblet and gestures to Rán across the hall.
She seemed to be taking care of her daughters, as usual.
Her husband was nowhere sight.

"Just as that of water and wave, we were to be fruitful and establish separate roles to each offspring.
Relay a task so we wouldn't be too tired!"

"Hmm..why have you not?"

"Oh, several reasons!
Most of it just comes down to Mani being overprotective me, I suppose.
We can never truly reveal ourselves here.
Not without " repercussions"."

Your sister's words intrigue the prince, but his eyes are quickly captivated by lady Sïf in the door way of the tallest corridor.
She motions for him and, without hesitation, he approaches her.
Sol is left alone again now processing how rude that was of him.

"Humph!
Not even a goodbye..!" She mumbles, returning to the dance floor.

Meanwhile, among the shadows casted by night, the two gods pressed up against the surface of a column.
Lady Sïf, to many's surprise, held Loki hostage against her.
She pressed her lips gently against his while forcefully closing him in underneath her.
She couldn't take it any longer.
With the king's suspicions rising, it had to be done.
At least once, she thought.
Her mind quickly drew a blank after that.

The two fell precariously onto her bed, her hair draped over his head.
Loki acted as though he couldn't believe what was happening, but deep down, he knew..
and Oh, how he wished to ravish the moment.
She spared no time in pinning him to cushions, grinding ever so slowly against him.
He could slowly feel himself let go as she tugged and perused every buckle and button.
Her skin was so soft yet rough, he thought.
The body of a true warrior.
