You sit in Loki quarters, staring at the balcony from his bedside.
It felt odd to be in the room by yourself..but you couldn't bare to be anywhere else.
The king laid cold and still in bed.
The eldest prince, banished from the realm.
The queen; distraught over losing her child.
And Loki...who was not even himself.
It was quite certainly a lot of change for you.
As for everyone, you presume.
But now, staring so deeply into the darkened night sky, your gaze becomes fixated on the stars.
The paths reached across the galaxy by aid from the Biofrost.
The simple recollection, no,...the longing to be out amongst the stars again.
To chase darkness across the sky into morning break.
Despite how much you had truly cherished the prince, such royal antics were far too dramatic for your taste.
Your sister and you had never had any problems!Well...okay, sometimes you both argue about stuff, but it is never over something as eventful as realm domination.
(It's mostly about stealing food or clothing, mainly food).
Your mind drifts to the unsavory idea of what it would be like in Loki's place.
To have your brother banished to Midgard?
You..couldn't bare such a thing if either of you were banished.
Sol is your world!
Your literal light at the end of the tunnel, your sister!
And your only family..Your mind races on and on before you find yourself completely drowned in your own thoughts.
So much so, you didn't even hear the door open.
Loki stepped in, noticing you almost immediately.
His expression faded to a neutral mask of sorts.
An attempt to hide his true emotions, you presumed.
He shuts the door behind him, stepping closer to you.
His cape just barely touches the ground as he moves, his hair so ravished by the events of that day.He quickly realizes that you are unaware of his presence.
As such, he, mischievously, takes advantage of that.
With you so utterly distracted by the evening sights, he manages to come up behind you on the bed.
You screech as he wraps his arms around you and pulls you down.
Your heart drops at the feeling..at least until you heard his iconic chuckle."Y-Your highness?!
Don't scare me like that!
I saw my life flash before my eyes!!" You exclaim, trying to break free of his grasp around your waist."Oh?
Was I there?" He asks, becoming more direct with his actions."Yes, of course you were!
You are my king, after all.
Well..I suppose your everyone's king now, huh?"He pauses, thinking intensely on your comment.
Part of you hoped you had not done something to offend him!"No..no, I'm not your king.
You are the only one I trust with this, so you should know, I-...that I'm-""A frost giant?"
He sits the two of you back up and glares at you.
Had you known this whole time?
Were you as traitorous as his father??"I, uh...Frigga sent me to guard the vault at one point.
Of course, you found a way in, so...admittedly, I must not be too good at that, huh?" You joke. His expression fades into what you can only describe as pain.
It was painful for you to know.
Painful...in that you knew what he was.
How you would fear him now.
You would cower.
You would-You embrace him, without a second thought.
It takes a moment for him to recoil, eventually realizing what he thought was impossible."I do not fear you, your highness.
Even if you were of Niflheim descent, I would give you my life." You say, leaning back and knocking on your chest.Saluting him.
He seems stunned by your actions, but..in a good way."How much did you hear?" He asks, more sternly now.
