Hunter's P.O.V
"Can you tell me now?" I asked Elinor as she watched me button up the front of the floral short dress I was wearing.
We ended up in the room I came to the first day I was here. I had a bath that a let Frank help with. Turns out he's not into girls, so it was whatever. My hair at the moment was tangly and wet.
"Alright. What do you want to know?" She raised an eyebrow. Honestly all I could think of at the moment was how she was related to Grayson, and not some sort royalty.
"I want to know the story about you and Grayson. You know the long one." I bit my lips nervous she would refuse to it.
"Okay I'll tell you in the carriage." Elinor said. Wait, what carriage?
"Carriage for what?" I groaned.
"You have to eat something." Elinor smiled grabbing a brush and taking it to my hair. She started from the top and brushed it to the bottom, getting rid of the tangles. "Besides you need some clothes." Elinor put the brush down at smiled at me.

Later on the carriage ride I brought up the topic again. "So can I know the story now?"
"Yes." Elinor looked out the window in a daze. "I'm not Grayson's full sister..."
"Meaning...." I tried to make her continue.
"I'm his half sister. You know that king of ours?" She looked into my eyes.
"Not well, but yeah." I nodded.
"Well there was a queen." Elinor was pausing so much that I kept pitching out ideas.
"The queen as in Grayson's... Sorry, Lord Grayson's mom?" I guessed.
"Yeah and mine. We have the same mother, but not father." Elinor looked out the window again, before continuing. "A few century's ago, before I was born, my mother, the queen had an affair."
"How old are you and Grayson exactly?" I jumped in again.
"Well Grayson is 504 years old and I'm 497 years old."
"Holy shit. That's old." I gasped. How was I ever going to adapt to this place? Everyone is way way way way way older than they look.
"Believe it or not, but we are still young compared to others." Elinor chuckled.
"How old are you in human years?" I had to ask.
"Well all vampires around here grow to a distinct age. We all age incredibly slow until we hit 37 in human years. Then we stay that age until we die." I couldn't believe anything she was saying. "Grayson in human years is 27, and I am 21."
"Wow." I took a deep breathe. "Okay back to the sibling story." Elinor chuckled and then went serious.
"As I was saying there was an affair between my mom and some other guy. That guy just happened to be my real father." I seen tears forming in her eyes. "The king. Our king is a cruel man. He was furious that my mom, the queen, cheated on him. To be honest I don't blame her, from what I can tell he is a monster." She took another pause and started again. "While my mother was pregnant the king kept trying to figure out who she had the affair with. She didn't say anything and the king was completely oblivious to truth. The truth was that the affair was between the Queen and the head gaurd. The only way the king figured this out was when I was being born. The queen went into labour, and the head gaurd was in the room. To the king, all the signs were there. The undivided attention shared between the gaurd and the queen, and of course the fact that my mother was holding the gaurds hand while pushing." I was so intrigued by the story,I didn't notice how hard the tears were flowing from Elinor's eyes down her cheeks. "A few days after my birth the king was still angry. He called it treason. The head gaurd and my mother got charged with extreme treason. The only penalty for that was death." Elinor was sobbing now and tried to control her breathing. Eventually she stopped crying and stared into space. "The king hung my father right in front of my mother, and then he hung her." She took a deep breathe and looked into my eyes. I'm sure right I looked completely depressed.
"So you never met your mother or father?" I asked as I felt the carriage come to a stop.
"No. The king took me in and grew me with Grayson. There was a huge gap between Grayson's age and mine but we managed. The king basically adopted me, when I was old enough he sent me off with Grayson." She sighed and then opened the carriage door stepping out. I followed and noticed we were in the villiage, it was very crowded.
"So how did you know all of this of you were only a baby at the time?" I asked walking beside Elinor down the odd store strip.
"That's the great thing about magic... It can work wonders." Elinor smiled before stopping in front a clothing booth. "A witch showed me."
"Oh." I sighed. This whole shopping in the village thing was so strange. I felt like I was in midevil times, but there was clothes from 2015 here.
"Enough with all this sad stuff. Ask me about something fun." Elinor chuckled, while looking through the dresses on the rack.
"Like what?" I asked joining her search through the clothes. I found a pretty black dress and held it out for Elinor to see.
"Thats cute." She was examining the dress. "I don't know ask me anything but nothing depressing."
I help onto the dress and kept looking through the pieces of clothing. "Do you like being a vampire?" I finally asked. Elinor paused everything she was doing and looked at me with a dumbfounded look on her face.
"Of course. What else would I be? A shape shifter?" She joked but I didn't get it. I guess that came along with this whole world, making jokes refering to supernatural creatures that I didn't really know about.

We were still walking down the strip, only it had been at least three hours. I wonder what time it was... "Heg Elinor what time is it?" I asked.
"Umm," she took a phone out of her pocket. To my surprise it was an iPhone. Seriously? What is up with this world? Its like a mixture of time periods... "It's 4:37."
"You have an iPhone." I asked catching her off gaurd.
"Yuppers." She smiled and stopped in front of a bakery booth. "You hungry?" She asked.
"Starving actually." We chuckled and then got some food. I got a sausage and a bottle of water, and Elinor got a bottle of blood. The sight of the red liquid didn't bug me, but the sight of her taking a sip made me queasy. The sound of a phone ringing interrupted Elinor's drinking. She pulled the phone from her clutch and answer it.
"Hi Grayson." She smirked talking to him on the phone. Why was he calling? I wanted to know. I tried to hear, but I couldn't. "Yeah." One sided conversations suck. "Yeah she's right here." Was Grayson asking about me? "Alright. I'll take care of it." Elinor smiled and hung up the phone.
"What?" I asked.
"We are having a dinner to get to tonight." She smiled and put her phone back in her clutch.
We hiked back to the carriage with the dozen of bags in our hands. We made it there and hopped in. To be honest I was really happy with how today worked out. I thought I would be alone through all of this but I have Elinor, and she's the closest thing to a friend I've got here.
