Today I woke up and threw on a pair of black ripped jeans, and an warm indigo TNA sweater. I fastened up my black pair of runners and continued to rush out my house leaving my school bag behind. Throughout the last two years of high school I rarely attended, and today would be no different. I'm basically free to do whatever I want, my parents aren't around often enough to stop me. Anyways I walked all the way to the subway station to take it to Queens. I had a few friends down there, that were sort of like me. The main reason I came here is to see Matt, my boyfriend. I walked out of the subway station and walked for at least 15 minutes till I found the abandon building we all hang out in. Most of the building was boarded up, except one part in the back that we tore up. I squeezed through the opening, and jogged up the beaten down stairs. My destination was the second floor. The building was like a hotel, so in some way the second floor, contained a second lobby. I happily walked out of the staircase, excited to see my friends. My face dropped with worry and sorrow when I seen dead bodies along the floor. What the hell? I rushed over to my bestfriend who was struggling to breathe.
"Sam, what happened?" I picked her head up quickly elevating it, I placed her body up on my knees. Hopping she could still talk I asked her again. "What happened?"
"D-dwayne came to.. Collect-- Matt didn't have it." Sam said. "Hunter do me a favour. I know I haven't seen my mom in a while, but tell her I love her, and she was right. Life out her... Ain't..." Sam started couching up blood. I felt her stop breathing, her eyes froze open. Lifeless. I started crying, so I muffled the sound by throwing my hands over my mouth. I didn't want to alert any of Dwayne's men.
Matt went back to dealing those stupid drugs. I told him not to, but he still did. I told Matt that Dwayne wouldn't be so lenient the next time he didn't have the money when he was suppose to. God damn it. They are probably beating Matt to death at this very moment. Spending time around here with all these people taught me a lot if things. Like how to use a gun. I reached for the gun in Sam's hand, and pointed it in front of me as I stood. Walking slowly down the hall, I checked the rooms with open doors. Nothing. I was heading to the master suit, where Matt spent most of his time. The door was open a crack. I heard voices coming from inside. I peeked through the crack and seen Matt standing in the middle of the room surrounded by a bunch of thugs, and then Dwayne standing in front of him.
"What is this the second time?" Dwayne said, I guess he was talking about the time Matt owed him a few grams for not distributing the drugs properly. My thoughts were cut off by Dwayne kicking Matt across the face. I gasped at the sight of it. Matt was on the floor, with a busted eye, and lip. Suddenly I was being pushed into the room by a random goon.
"Hey Boss, look what I found..." The bald man said to Dwayne. The bald man took the gun out of my hand and pushed me towards Dwayne. Dwayne caught me and threw me beside Matt on the floor.
"Baby, what are you doing here?" Matt said to me. I was so angry with him. Although I was angry, I was scared out of my witts.
"Don't baby me." I whispered. "If we get out of this alive, I will personally kill you."
"Shut up." Dwayne said rudely interrupting.
"If you're going to kill us, then just do it already." I said strong, this was a shocker to Dwayne.
"Oh feisty." Dwayne smirked. "How did you end up with this fool baby girl?" Dwayne asked gesturing to Matt.
"None of your business ass hole." I replied spitting at his feet. Dwayne chuckled and punched me across the face. I tasted blood in my mouth. "You hit like a girl." I spat to the side of me. No matter how much pain I was in, I wasn't gonna show it.
"You've got balls, but sadly your boyfriend fucked up." Dwayne pointed his pistol at Matt's head, causing me to shake in fear. Dwayne pulled the trigger.
"NOOOO!" I crawled over to Matt's body, holding him in my arms. "Baby, I love you." I said putting my forehead against his.
"Not so tough anymore..." Dwayne said. I turned to face his gun. It was being pointed to my chest. The sound of the fire arm errupted in the room. I fell to the floor. The last thing I remember is Dwayne's tall figure standing over me.
