Dan's POV

I can't stop crying. They're not tears of sadness though. They're tears of pure happiness...and confusion.

Luna. My baby sister was...alive? I thought for sure she had died those thirteen years ago.

"Wait...LUNA!?!?! I thought you said she died though?" Phil asked in shock almost doing a spit take with his tea.

"I thought she did..." I trail off wiping away some leftover tears.

"Phil?" I ask.

"Yeah?"

"They're asking if we would be willing to adopt her since I'm her only living family member." I plead to him.

"Well of course! We can't leave her at the foster home. I'm basically your brother which kind of makes her my sister. So she's definitely allowed here!" He says with a smile.

"So...we're parents?" I joke with a smile.

"I guess so!" He exclaims with a grin.

Luna's POV

"Luna! Guess what!" Yells Miranda running into my room.

"What?" I ask in anticipation. I wonder what she was so excited about?

"He said yes! Your brother called back and agreed to adopt you!" She screamed jumping up and down like a crazed rabbit.

"I'm...going to have a real brother?" I bewilderedly asked. I had to be dreaming.

"Yes you are! Congratulations Miss Howell!"

I'm almost done packing up all my stuff for when I go to London. I've never been this nervous or excited before. I was finally leaving my foster home to actually begin my life.

Wait.

I shouldn't say that! Ever! My best friends and I had always lived at this place. It will always be my home no matter where I go. All the great times we had here, the conversations, and well just everything!

It was terrible to leave it all behind me.

But I had to become a normal girl.

One with a real brother. Maybe he could even tell me stories of my real parents?

"Luna are you ready to go to the airport?" Asks Miranda.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I say attempting to smile. Did I really want to leave though? Is this what I wanted.

"Sweetheart you have to go. I'm not going to hold you back from having a real family." She whispers pulling me into a hug.

"I know, but it's...hard...to leave my family behind...for a new one." I silently mumble letting a single tear slip down my cheek.

"We'll always be here sweetheart. Maybe I'll see you again someday..." She smiles kissing my cheek.

No matter what, this woman would always be my mother.

We all drove to the airport together in our huge minivan. Bill drove, Miranda sat in the passenger seat. In the middle row sat Jade on the left and Emma on the right. And in the back sat Peyton on the left, Maria on the right, and I got stuck in the middle. These were our usual seats that we had always used.

We sat waiting for them to call my flight number. Almost time to go. Everyone sat in silence waiting for me to leave. It wasn't awkward though. It was...depressing.

"I have something to say!" I say mentally preparing a speech in my mind.

"Miranda and Bill, you will always, no matter what be my mother and father! Never forget that ever! And you guys! What will I ever do with you? You're all my sisters and always will be! Got that? I will write, text, email, and video chat with you all non-stop! And I will once again see you all in person one day! So this is not the last time you will ever see Luna. So wipe away your gosh dang tears cause your making me super upset!" I say with a pouty face giving all six of them a gigantic hug.

The flight number was finally called right on time.

"Honey that's your flight..." Says Miranda with a sad expression. I didn't like that.

"Everyone smile and look happy. That's how I want to remember you guys." I say trying not to cry once again.

"Perfect." I quietly tell myself taking a mental picture.

"Goodbye everyone! I love you all so much!" I yell with a smile blowing kisses as I walked onward.

To my new life.
