New story! Hope ya like it! :)
Luna's POV
"You mean it? I'm finally meeting a real family member?" I ask in complete and utter shock.
I've lived in a foster home my whole life. I mean its not as bad as you would think. I've never known my real parents. Ever. I guess you can't really miss someone if you've never known them. Both died when I was two months old, but nobody has ever told me how...
"Yes! They've finally found a relative of yours living in London." Miranda, my foster mom exclaimed with a smile.
A relative? Why has it taken thirteen years to finally find a relative of mine? It doesn't matter though! There's someone out there. Somebody who belongs in the same family tree. Someone who will love and care for me.
A family.
"I wonder how they're related to me?" I think aloud.
"It's your older brother." She replies with a smile.
A brother. A brave person who I know will protect me know matter what. I've always daydreamed about this kind of stuff. What my family would look like, how they'd act, what they'd do.
"When do I leave?" I ask her tearing up a bit. I didn't want to leave behind my friends here. They were my family. The ones I grew up with instead of a real mom or a dad. They were my sisters. And Miranda and Bill, my foster parents. How could I leave all my loved ones behind?
"Well...Umm...They haven't contacted your brother yet...But they will soon!" She quickly adds looking a bit guilty.
Oh so she got my hopes up for nothing. Maybe I wouldn't find a new home after all...
"Don't worry though! How can he say no to adopting a sweet girl like you?" She tries to reassure me giving me a small smile.
I attempt to smile back, but deep down I know I might never get a home.
"Luna? What's wrong?" Asks Maria, one of my sisters. She has straight blonde hair and blue eyes. We always tease her because she's so short. I'm older then her by about four months making her the youngest.
"It-It's nothing really." I mumble through my pillow.
"Doesn't seem like nothing!" Adds Jade in a sing-song voice. She has wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. She's the loudest person you'll ever meet and isn't afraid to show her opinion, but we all love her anyway. I'm older by about a month.
"Well...I might get adopted..." I blurt out burying my face even deeper into the pillow.
"Luna that's great!" Yells Emma being the first to give me a hug followed by everyone else. Emma has curly light brown hair and blue eyes. She's very talkative and gives great advice. I'm older then her by about two months.
"What's wrong Peyton?" I ask my friend as she sadly pulls away. Peyton has straight dark brown hair and blue eyes. She's the shyest and quietest of us all and loves to draw. She's older then me by about four months making her the oldest.
"That means...you might be leaving us." She states beginning to tear up. We pull her back into the hug as all of us sisters cry together.
"Girls it's time for bed. Oh no..." Mutters Miranda seeing us all in tears.
The six of us spent an hour remembering the great times we've had in this house. I was the first to live here. Then about two years later two-year old Peyton came here. One of my first real friends. Five years later in first grade Jade came. I remember her always teasing me for being too quiet. I've obviously gotten louder since then. Three years later in fourth grade Emma was fostered by Miranda and Bill. She loved to sing and always brought music to the house. Lastly came Maria. She was the funny and random one who always made us laugh.
Dan's POV
Another video finally uploaded. I close my laptop smiling as I lay back in my bed. It was a video where I drew my life. Phil had done one a few weeks earlier and I thought I'd try it too.
I was a bit worried about how people would react to my life. I had never told anyone but Phil about my parents. They're my danasaurs though. They deserve to know.
"Dan! Phone call for you!" Yelled Phil from the other room.
"I'm coming!" I yell getting up from my bed and happily galloping to get the phone.
"Sounds important." Whispers Phil a bit confused.
I shrug taking the phone from him.
"Hello?"
"Is this Mr.Howell?"
"Umm yes. This is Dan."
"This is the BAAF which stands for British Association for Adoption and Fostering."
"Uh ok? How can I help you?"
"Well...Umm...Do you know much about your sister Luna?"
"She's dead..."
"No, Luna is very much alive here at our one foster home."
"WHAT!?!?!"
"Yes! Your the only living relative of hers we could find and we were wondering if you were willing to adopt?"
"I...Uhh...But..."
"We'll give you some time to consider you can call us back when you've made your decision."
"Who was that? Is something wrong? Why are you crying?" Phil crowded me with questions.
I couldn't help but crack a smile.
"She's alive."
