Luna
I start year eight next week. It's weird that I've been here for a month and a half now. I've grown to be comfortable around Dan and Phil. They ARE my family after all.
I'm just worried about school though. I've always been that one girl. The shy, quiet, emo one who got bullied and picked on constantly. I honestly didn't want to go. I just wanted to hide under my duvet and browse the Internet all day.
I don't really have a choice though. Plus I was actually really smart. A straight A+ student so homework and projects weren't really an issue. The only problem was interacting with other people.
I'm still worried about gymnastics too. I miss the sensation of jumping and flipping through the air. I'll admit I've been crying for the past few weeks. I'm such a wuss, but I can't help it! It's all I've ever known. I've been a gymnast for as long as I could remember. The only comfort I had instead of my parents was going there every week to learn a new trick or routine.
It hurt to leave it all behind.
Maybe if they saw what I was capable of doing they would let me compete. Or at least take lessons. Taking lessons would be better then nothing at all.
I needed to do gymnastics no matter what.
Dan
We all decided to take a walk in the park. Well LUNA decided we should. Phil and I weren't big fans of the whole nature thing, but Luna said since she was starting school soon she wouldn't be able to spend as much time with us. I guess it was nice of her to think of us, but couldn't she choose an arcade or something?
I guess it was kind of nice outside. There were birds, bugs, flowers, and all sorts of strange things.
"Dan, get me ice cream!" Whined Phil tugging my sleeve. I swear this man acted like a five year old!
"Me too please!" I heard a second plead tugging my other sleeve. Was I the only adult?
"Ugh! You guys can be so obnoxious!" I yell walking over to the little cart pulling out my wallet.
I didn't bother asking them what they wanted. I just got three vanillas with rainbow sprinkles. Hopefully that was good enough. I payed the vendor and struggled to carry all three cones back to them. They were poking each other back and forth giggling like little kids.
"Here you go children!" I say almost tripping over a rock.
"Hey I am not a-SPRINKLES!" Exclaimed Phil grabbing it from me and shoving his face in it.
We all laughed as we ate ice-cream while sitting on a bench talking about random stuff.
"Hey umm would you guys believe me if I told you that I was a gymnast?" Luna asked after a long time chatting.
"Of course I would believe you! Why not?" I said confused. This was weird.
"Do a trick!" Gasped Phil excitedly jumping up and down.
"Ok!"
Luna
I stood up and walked to a bare spot in the park. I backed up preparing for my favorite trick. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I should have stretched, but oh well! It was just one trick.
I ran forward doing a round-off and going into a layout, except it wasn't just a layout. I did a full twist enjoying the sensation of flying in the air. I've actually never gone that high before.
I landed with a smile. I haven't felt that great in months!
I looked over and saw them staring at me speechless.
"Whoa! Go Luna!" Screamed Phil smiling like a goofball while he clapped his hands.
Dan was equally impressed clapping his hands and grinning.
"Guys can I please do gymnastics?" I questioned giving them the puppy dog eyes.
After a minute of thinking Dan made up his mind.
"We'll have to check how much it costs, but I don't see why not!" He said smiling.
"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed running over and giving them a big hug.
"I love you guys."
