even though this was the first time that maya had met anna paul in person, it seemed like the bond between them was sister-like.
after they finished with their photoshoot, anna turned to maya who was laying on the sun-bed beside her. she noticed that the mancunian had been tapping away at her screen for ages now, grinning every time a message popped up on her screen.
"maya, who's got you smiling like that?" anna asked in a sweet tone, her australian accent slipping through.
"oh remember how i told you about jude?" maya smiled saying the boy's name.
"the soccer player you've been talking to?"
maya nods and then laughs, "he actually has a big game against bayern munich tonight."
"wow sehr gut!" anna says impressed. "so are you gonna watch the game?"
"yeah on TV. i'm not ready to watch him in the stadium yet, if he gets hurt-" maya shakes her head at the thought of it.
"aww maya!" anna pulls her in for a hug. "sounds like you could be falling for him."
"i think i am but he won't be. i feel so bad, i keep pushing him away and then feel like shit when i remember that he's not liam," maya spilled her feelings to anna.
"maya don't say that! you're the best there is. forget liam, boys like him don't deserve you baby."
"thanks babe," maya could feel her negative thoughts being erased slowly. "how do you and glen do it? this relationship thing?"
"you know, me and glen aren't a picture perfect couple. but we always give eachother the love we want to receive, even after a fight. i think that's why we've lasted so long."
"wow anna that might be the best advice i've ever heard."
"right? and remember maya you literally look like a goddess! and you're so smart too. trust me, you have no reason to worry, your happiness is most important, okay?"
"oh my god anna you're so sweet i might cry."
whilst this wholesome conversation between anna and maya was taking place, jude was in the team-bus heading to allianz arena for the big match against bayern munich.
jude messages maya that he has to go and shuts off his phone.
"ready?" marco rose (jude's coach) asks him.
"always ready." jude replies, oozing with confidence.
