18 year old maya can't trust her high profile boyfriend, jude, to stay faithful. almost every girl in the country wants to be with him but will he prove that he only wants maya?

this year, there were two sides to the german classic.
once the final whistle was blown, one of the german teams celebrated with their fans, who were all covered in the colour red. their supporters sang proudly as they watched their players splash eachother in beer with smiles on their faces.
bayern munich had won their tenth bundesliga title in a row.
on the other side, the borussia dortmund players and fans were heartbroken. their eleven players hung their heads low, shaking their heads in disbelief. losing to their biggest rivals left an empty feeling in the players' stomachs.
and maya knew very well that jude would be shattered by this defeat. even though she was glad he was physically fine, it was going to hurt to see jude upset regardless.
after yet another taxi ride, maya arrived at jude's home a few hours after the game. denise kindly welcomed maya in and let her know that jude was upstairs.
then maya gently knocked on jude's bedroom door with shaky fingers, unsure if he'd even want to see her.
"mom, not now." jude called out, his voice more quiet than usual.
"jude it's me, maya."
jude opened the door immediately. this time however, maya wasn't welcomed with his usual smile and a warm kiss. instead he stood there with sunken eyes, still wearing his borussia dortmund kit that had mud splattered all over it.
maya closed the door behind her and then jude murmured, "it was shit."
"jude-", maya pauses once she notices a bruise next to the black strapping tape on his knee. "oh my god, are you hurt?"
"no it's fine," jude shrugs.
"no, what's the name of the guy who tackled you? i'll find a way to fucking sue him!" maya was seething but jude found it funny. it was the first time he cracked a smile since leaving the stadium.
"pavard. should've been booked but..." he sighs, raising his eyebrows in frustration.
"it's not your fault, even i knew it was a penalty. the ref was just blind out there," maya went over to hug jude, her palms now laying flat against his back.
but jude didn't return the hug. his hands awkwardly rested beside him.
"yeah, he was pretty shit." jude replied.
"see, nothing to beat yourself up about." maya tried to comfort him but jude's arms still refused to hold her.
"not just this game, maya. we've been shit all season."
"that's because of all the injuries. there's some things you can't control jude."
jude sighs. he knew maya was right, and she was helping him feel slightly less miserable after all.
eventually, jude's fingers lightly held her waist which made maya smile.
in response, she moved her hands up to his neck, waiting for a kiss, but jude tilted his head high so he was now staring straight up at the ceiling, his lips out of reach for maya.
"i don't deserve a kiss today," jude mutters, breaking eye-contact.
"baby, you can't punish yourself over a game." maya says consolingly.
maya then tries to stand up on her tippy toes, making herself as tall as she possibly could, in hopes of reaching his lips. but jude was still too tall for her.
jude then looks down at maya, her lip in a pout as her eyes stare hopelessly at the walls, and he immediately starts to feel guilty.
finally, his hands wrap around her neck and he presses a kiss to her lips.
maya feels her heart beat even faster when jude kisses her forehead and holds her tight,
"i didn't mean to make you upset babe, i'm sorry." jude whispers.
"it's okay you didn't upset me," maya says, then she hears a phone ringtone.
her friend riley was calling.
"yes?" maya asks, holding her phone to her ear.
"liams in dortmund right now! get out of there!" riley shrieked, sending shivers down maya's spine.
"everything alright?" jude asks politely, his head tilts in confusion.
"yeah you know what? it's late, let's go to bed". maya shuts off her phone and prays that when she wakes up, it'll all be just a dream.
