"'maya i'm going to miss having you around sweetheart, take care of yourself!" denise said as she farewelled maya with a warm embrace.

"i'm going to miss you too denise! won't be long until i'm back i promise." maya said smiling.

jude grinned from a distance looking at the both of them hugging. "so mom when's it my turn?"

denise and maya both laugh and that's when denise jokingly says, "getting greedy now are you jude? maya if he ever troubles you let me know," she winks at maya making jude giggle.

denise grabs her wallet from the kitchen table and walks towards the door. "okay i need to go to the supermarket now. i'll leave you both to it."

as soon as jude hears the door slam shut, he puts both hands on maya's waist and whispers "come here" as he pulls her closer.

maya's hands grasp his neck as he lays a soft kiss on her lips, she pulls away for a second and uses her thumb to rub off her makeup on his face. "babe my lipsticks smeared all over you," maya chuckles into his shoulder.

"if it's yours i don't mind," jude replies. he tucks maya's long black hair behind her ear, staring down at her dimples and golden-brown eyes in the sunlight.

maya felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach unaware that jude was too.
she sighs, "how did i get so lucky with you?"

"babe. i'm the lucky one," jude responds as he grabs maya's face with both hands and she presses a kiss to his lips.

then her phone buzzes twice.

"i think the uber is here," maya says.

jude's head drops and he feels his heart sink. his stomach churns at the thought of her leaving. maya comfortingly brushes her thumb over his cheek.

"i hate this part." he mumbles, barely moving his mouth.

"me too. but i'll be back before you know." maya says softly.

although she tries to stay positive she suddenly feels blue, her throat tightens when she tries to speak again.

jude notices her lips trembling. that's when he says, "babe, the distance between you and i will never change my mind about us."

maya cracks a small smile. then jude teasingly mutters "i mean who else will cook for me once i'm back in manchester innit?"

"shut up," maya rolls her eyes and nudges her elbow into his arm.

a few seconds later, the couple hear a car honking outside. jude then opens the door for maya and drags her suitcase out to the uber. the pair reach for eachother, sharing a long kiss until they were both left gasping for air.

"ma'am are you ready?" the driver asks awkwardly.

"yes-" both maya and jude pull away and look at eachother smiling in embarrassment.

jude opens the car door for maya and once she's sat, he pecks her cheek. "anything you need let me know. i love you."

maya nods in response, "i love you too," gently closing the car door.
