As said, this takes place before coming to earth. So a lot of things are normal, that wouldn't be on earth for them.
I'll try to stay somewhat close to canon and yet still close to my head canons of them.

Heatwave: ...Because from what we've heard, not even the other two Primes before him, - reigns of which, we've lived through, - have known, or been able to confirm or deny his existence. Zeta always skipped over Primus, and onto Prima, and Sentinel straight up skipped over the whole thing.
Boulder: ...we don't see Optimus much anyway, since he's so busy.
