Humanized! ChaseWave/Chase x Heatwave
Heatwave - 18yo M
Chase - 16yo M

~*~*~*~*~*~* 💫🌙🌟 *~*~*~*~*~*~

Chase moved around in his sleep. It wasn't exactly uncommon for people to do that, but, Chase's were rigid, sharp, strong, and sporadic. Which wasn't normal in any way.

Eventually the movement woke up his boyfriend, Heatwave, who he slept with, and shared a bed with. Which really, wasn't odd in the slightest. People did that, a lot, and especially, with their significant others.

Heatwave was almost automatically, confused, and concerned, as he awoke. He turned his head to the side to look at Chase, wondering, what happened, what was going on, and what was with Chase's movements?

He found Chase's face to be of utter distress, and was clearly, cringing in a way. Which wasn't normal. Heatwave was a little more than concerned now.

"Chase? Baby? Hey, what's wrong?" Heatwave tiredly asked, still lying in his place, and watching his significant other.

Within the minute, Chase's eyes were wide open, and he'd shot up, sitting up, his back, completely, off the bed. He was in a cold sweat, and panting heavily.

"Hey, Chase, you a'right there, honey?" Heatwave asked, his voice still brisk, and husky, from just waking up.

Chase turned his head to Heatwave. Staring for a second, he then looked around at the surroundings. His breathing began to lower to a normal pattern, and he wasn't as panicked.

"Chase? What's wrong?" Heatwave gingerly asked again.

Chase was silent, until a small sob filled the space from the void of emptiness, and lack of noise. He didn't answer his partner.

Heatwave was vigilant, and caught it, almost shooting up himself, yet instead, quickly raised himself, onto his upper arm, and side.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong? Talk to me Chase. I don't know how to help, if you don't tell me."

Chase flinched away from the gentle touch Heatwave tried to offer. His head shot to the side, and his golden eyes, darted, to meet Heatwave's bright, orange ones.

"Chase?"

Heatwave remained quiet, and his tone was low. He kept a firm strong amount of confidence in the subtext, but he wasn't going to put it out there.

"H-Heatwave..."

"Yeah, baby?"

After a second Chase broke into tears, and encased himself around his partner.

"Hey, hey, it's okay... what happened baby?" Heatwave asked, gently stroking his fingers through Chase's dark-to-bright blue, semi-short, soft, fluffy hair, in a soothing manner.

Chase just sat there and cried. He didn't want to answer. He just wanted to cry, and hold onto Heatwave. Because Heatwave made him safe.

"What's wrong, hun?"

"I-i- I was b-back there... m-my-my- th-they-"

"Your 'parents'? And where you lived with them?"

"Y-ye-yes. T-th-they were- were- h-hit-hitting me, a-ag-again. I-I-I- wh-what did I do wr-wrong-"

"Shh, shh, shh... it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong, Chase. They're just abusive, they were your abusers. You're free, you're safe, they can't hurt you. It was just a flashback. A PTSD flashback..."

Heatwave held Chase close, and soothed him. Chase held onto him and cried. They were quiet, words didn't need to be exchanged.

Heatwave ran his fingers through the other's fluffy hair, and getting rid, of any small knots, he found, gently. Chase sat there quietly, letting Heatwave, as he meanwhile loosely gripped onto the other's firetruck red locks.

Chase suddenly spoke up.

"D-do... do you love me?"

Heatwave looked to Chase.

"Of course I do, Chase. Of course I do. Is there something that makes you believe otherwise?"

Chase was quiet.

"Did they tell you, no one would love you?"

Chase nodded.

"They were lying. They just wanted to believe it, so you'd stick around, until your inevitable demise, to their hands."

"I know... but-"

"It's hard not to believe it sometimes?"

Chase nodded, and gave low hum, in the affirmative.

"Well, you know what Chase? I'm gonna love you so much, it'll be immensely difficult, to so much as imagine, of thinking of that statement, at all."

Heatwave reached over to Chase's side of the bed, and grabbed a bottle of pills. He opened it, and carefully took one from it, then closed it, and set it back where it was.

"Here. Take it so we won't have this happen again tonight. Mkay?" Heatwave said, handing to Chase.

Chase took it, and swallowed it.

The pair both cuddled, and quickly fell asleep, entangled in each other, as a complete mess of limbs, and body parts.
