Chapter 3: Meeting of the Lords and Unexpected Happy Reunion Part 2

It was eight in the evening. After the big fight and Hikaru reunite with his godmother from Seoul, Layla Kim. The Sugiura family decided to stay in their house.

Hikaru introduced his family, and medieval friends to Layla Kim, and also he told her about his adventures when Hikaru put his hands on Layla, she saw the flashback of his adventures. She was extremely worried about his past and also his bullied life but the heroes answered them that they are responsible for Hikaru to change him into a strong man. She thanks the heroes for their hard work and sacrifice to protect Hikaru, After the police take away the black-hooded men and treating of the remaining injured members and they took them away to the police station.

Back in their backyard.

"So, Layla-san. How did you meet Hikaru?" Edelgard asked?

"I met him when Mahiru and Kana Kanzaki introduced me to Hikaru, while they are on a business trip abroad. I was the one who took care of me when they are on business trips, and also he took care of me. Almost, like mother and son. In that time…" Layla began.

Flashback:

Kanzaki's Mansion, 10:34 P.M.

In the master's office. Five months before the massacre.

"Wait! Are you serious?" Layla asked.

"Yes. We decided to make a discussion about our son's future when something will happen to us." Mahiru said.

"But Hikaru-chan is too young to understand that subject and he will be lonely in the future." Layla was worried.

"Layla-san. You are the only one who could fulfill our wishes. When something happens between me and my darling. When that day comes, you are the one who takes care of our child." Kana explained, "Please, guide our dear Hikaru-chan. I know it's an important and risky decision, you already know about Hikaru, since your bond to our dear child is strong enough and you have our trust, please."

"Okay. I accept your wish." Layla said before she think for a moment, "I promise that I will take care of Hikaru in my hands. I will never fail you." Layla said.

"Just like my father have the same conversation with Rodrigue," Dimitri remembered something.

"When the massacre occurred, I was devastated, and also I heard the news that Hikaru was nowhere to be found and he was declared missing. I was horrified. Days later, I heard that the businessmen who are in Kanzaki's family service were killed. Since I can't find him. I decided to go home to Seoul and I failed to keep his parents' promise." Layla began to cry until Akira came to her and sit beside her.

"Layla-san. I'm the one who rescued Hikaru from the gunmen during the massacre and I bring him to the nearest hospital." Akira said, "I almost caught in that situation. I was followed by the gunmen but the police arrived and stop them, but they escape. I decided to adopt him, according to the police, and changed his family name to Sugiura, to keep away from the gunmen."

"I was the one who saved Akira-san and Hikaru-kun," Saeko said.

Layla was surprised about Saeko and Akira's actions to save Hikaru and she cried.

"Thank you. Thank you…so very much you two!" Layla cried as the two women embraced.

"You're welcome." The two replied.

Hikaru decided to approach her and he hugged her.

"Thank you for worrying me. I can't afford to lose a person who is important to me. I can't imagine a life without a real family that I have. I’m so glad to see you again." Hikaru said.
