"D'you think he'll wake soon?"
"Doubt it, he was knocked right out of his wits."
"He's had worse, though, hasn't he?"
Harry awoke to voices lifting him from his unconsciousness. He recognised his surroundings. The bright, overwhelming lights of the hospital wing couldn't be mistaken for anywhere else.
He was familiar with a few of the voices. Hermione and Ron were a given; Seamus' thick, Irish accent was evident; and he could roughly hear Ginny's boisterous personality sitting beside his hospital bed.
Where's Adara? He found himself thinking foolishly. He quickly dismissed the thought.
"How long d'you think he's gonna be out for?" askes Seamus.
Harry grinned, his eyelids still closed. "I'll think about it, get back to you soon."
"Harry!" He sat up at Hermione's voice. Everyone looked to him and let out relieved sighs and smiles.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Had a well good fall, about fifty feet." Ron explained gruffly, "Goyle threw a bludger at you once we won. Stupid git. We still beat them."
Harry sighed tiredly, "How long have I been out for?"
Hermione handed him his glasses and he nodded appreciatively. "A while, maybe around two hours. Don't worry, though --- McGonagall gave Goyle detention for two weeks, and deducted 30 house points from Slytherin. But --- "
" --- Your skull has a minor fracture is all." Ginny filled in, "Nothing major."
"Right." He turned on his side and reached for a glass of water. He now felt the affects of his fractured skull, even though Madame Pomfrey had healed it. His vision went slightly askew once he turned to lay on his back.
"Where's Ads?" The question was nonchalant, but the reactions of Hermione, Seamus, Ron and Ginny were anything but relaxed. Hermione bit her lip, eyes widened and looked to Ron to answer, giving him an egging look as the ginger boy shrugged.
Harry tensed. "Ron?"
"Well, she kind of --- " Ron faltered, trying to phrase his words. Harry felt his stomach twist with worry. "She --- sort of... blacked out?"
