Chapter 8: The Other (III)

Liam heard Melody scream. He looked through the window, the room was plain dark. He could not see anything but darkness. 

“WHERE ARE THE F#KING KEYS!?” Liam angrily yelled. 

the doctor then handed him a bunch of keys. “which f#king key is it?'' Liam asked picking each key and fixing it into the keyhole, but none of those he picked were the right ones. Then, he found it - the right key. He placed it into the keyhole , turned it and the door opened. He immediately rushed into the room, found the light switch on the wall and switched it on. 

and there she was, Melody darling gabriella krislo, on the sofa. still. motionless. 

Liam rushed to her side and was taken aback. In front of his eyes was Melody, sitting with the child on her lap. She handled him with so much care and love, affectionately rocking him in her arms. He was no longer sour. He had instantly fallen asleep in her arms as she recited “Solomon Grundy” to him.

Liam saw what he hadn't seen in a very long time. while his father was on earth he handled Jeremiah in this same position as Melody did. singing to him many songs and rhymes, the child's favorite was Solomon grundy. That was all the child needed, peace. He needed no medicines or treatments, or even being locked up in this prison they call a room.  It was as if Jeremiah listened and came close to those that were sick. as if he could feel their pain too. as if he knew they were going to pass away.  

As for Melody, she was happy. She had a warm smile and her eyes were filled with tears just sitting there with Jeremiah on her laps in her arms. she could no longer feel her pain. she felt free, she didn't think about her sickness or the childs. All she could think was how happy and calm she felt feeling his little heart beat on her chest. giving her hope.
