JJ's pov:
At around 5:30am I heard my alarm going off, and immediately sat up. "Emily! Emily wake up!" I shook her.

She groaned, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. She wasn't exactly a morning person. "We have to be at the airport soon!" I said.

She looked over at the clock. "By 'soon' do you mean in 2 hours?"

"Yes." I nodded. "Now get up."

She swung her legs around the bed reluctantly getting up. "I swear if you go back to sleep I will murder you." I said, as I walked into the bathroom.

I quickly brushed my teeth, and combed my hair so it didn't look like a birds nest. I went back out and Emily was getting dressed.

I changed into jeans and a T-shirt, and then went downstairs. I could hear Emily getting ready, so I started a pot of coffee.

We still needed to put the car seat in our car, because we hadn't done it last night. The drive from the hospital in New York to the airport was very short, only around 5 minutes. Since we couldn't bring the car seat on the plane, we were going to go without it and drive very carefully.

Emily came down a few minutes later and I handed her a mug of coffee. "I knew there was a reason I married you." She smiled.

"Help me get the car seat installed before we leave." I said, opening it up.

We tried for about 10 minutes, until Emily found the directions at the bottom of the box, that we failed to read.

We looked over it, and realized we had it all wrong. "Okay take two." Emily says, opening the back door of the car again.

This time we were able to get it in properly, and it only took a few minutes. I made sure to check it was secure at least 10 times. "Jayje relax. It's fine." Emily laughed, shutting the door and finally pulling me away. "Ready to go?"

"Yes definitely." I said, grabbing my stuff and getting in the passengers seat.

The drive to the airport was quiet, expect for some music coming from the radio. I couldn't wait to be on the plane already. I wanted to see her so badly.

6 hours later
It was around noon now, and the plane had just landed. "JJ wake up. We're here." Emily said, gently shaking me.

We both stood up, and quickly made our way off the plane. We got out of the airport, and got a cab to the hospital. The whole way, my heart was beating so fast. I don't know why, but I was so nervous.

The drive was short, and we got out to pay the driver. We walked into the front lobby, and my hands were shaking. "Relax." Emily whispered, as we walked over to the front desk.

Before we got there Dr. Robbins came up to me. "Hey! You're back." She said. "Yeah. We're here to see Cara." I told her. "Oh okay. The social worker is in her room right now. Apparently a couple is coming to take her home today."

"What?! No that's not possible!" I said, freaking out. I looked over to Emily, who was laughing slightly, and just shaking her head.

"JJ. Remember how we just flew 5 hours to get here? And to take her home? We're the couple." Emily said, still cracking up.

"Oh. Oh yeah."

"Yeah. We didn't do that hour of paperwork for nothing yesterday." She smiled at me. "You are so uptight it's messing with your brain."

"You guys are taking her home?" Dr. Robbins asked. "Yup." I said. "That's great! She deserves good parents. I'll walk you to her room."

When we got to her room, I stood outside trying not to scream because it would scare her. I can't believe this is actually happening.
