I try to wash the blood from my hands under the running water. Most of the blood was able to wash off with water but some of it has stained my skin. I have no idea how to wash it off before I leave the bathroom and get rid of any kind of indication of it being me that was here.

I look around at the group of men by my sides. Some lay in the bathtub and others on the floor, leaving their blood splattered all over the white tile. I decided to give up on trying to rid myself of the blood on my hands and put on my black gloves.

I check the room for any more signs of it being me that could have been here and was the one who killed all these men.

"Lucy! Are you done in there?" I flinch at the sudden noise in my ear. It was my father speaking into the earpiece he got for me on the important missions, and this one was really important to him.

"Yes, I'm leaving now," I say as I press the button that allows me to speak to him.

"Good, now let's go onto the next place"

"Yes sir." I let go of the button and let out a huge sigh. The jobs never end.

I walk out into the ballroom and feel the cold metal of my knife laying against my skin. The ballroom looks beautiful, you would never know that many secret deals and the dirty jobs of this city have happened here.

"Would you like to dance, miss?" a handsome young man with orange hair asks as he extends his hand out.

"No, thank you. I'm here with someone" I politely decline. Hoping he doesn't ask too many questions.

"Where is he? I would like to ask him if I could share a dance with you. How could he not be keeping a pretty girl as you entertained but be fraternizing elsewhere." he smirks at me.

"How do you know I'm pretty with my mask on"

"I..."

"Excuse me, but could you leave me and my date be? She clearly doesn't feel comfortable dancing with you" a mysterious voice says from behind me, successfully cutting off the man in front of me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know she was your date" he politely excuses himself and leaves me alone with the strange man. I turn around and see a man wearing a simple black mask and suit.

"I hope I didn't make you any trouble with that" he apologizes.

"Oh no, I'm not actually here with anyone."

"Good, then if you're okay with it can I have this dance so we can show your stalker who staring now, that we came here together." with that I take his hand and head onto the dance floor, with the couples.

We dance in the silence of the music. The only thing keeping me from enjoying the dance with this mysterious polite man is the cold blade of the knife that is strapped to my thigh.

This is my life now, I dance with men I have never met. They think they save me but I only follow along to keep my identity hidden. I have never met a man I have not been able to fool. It gets tiring but it is worth it to get my father off of my back. This is the only way he will let me leave the house.

He thinks he's being kind to me, by getting me out of that conversation but really he's only helped me focus on my mission again.

"Lucy, track down the target" I hear my father yell into my earpiece again.

"Excuse me, I have to be somewhere" I then simply walk off after a slight bow to thank him for the dance. As I continue to walk away from him, the cold of the blade cuts into my skin and I'm reminded once again that my father only wants me for as long as I can keep up with the jobs he assigns me.

I will be dumped once he finds no use for me anymore, and that could be any day in his mind.
