I had never been in an interview before, so, this is my first time during one of these... Hopefully I don't slip up.

"Okay, [Y/n], I'm going to ask you some questions, a few personal and the rest just in general. Is that okay with you?" The man spread his hands onto the table.

"Yes, that's fine with me."

"Mhm. What is your full name,"

"[Y/n] [L/n],"

"Alright, Miss [L/n], let's see how you preform."

"And one last question, again my condolences for the prolonged interrogation."

"No, really- I don't mind, once it's out of the way, I can finally relax."

A small impertinent smile affected the tone of his voice, "Would you ever be willing to work overtime?" The subtle emphasis on that final word, it made me feel something unsettling.

"Uhm," Stammered I, procrastinated on the answer to this minatory question, "Well, depending on the case, and the seriousness of that situation, then definitely. A bad habit of mine, is not stopping until I get a job done, if things aren't complete it leaves a feeling of dissatisfaction for me."

Subtle shuffling of papers and pens eased the awkward silence between us.
"Well, thank you for being here [Y/n], but I'm afraid that, with your given answers, and some of the missing information on your background CV, I'm afraid to say that- you haven't been given the job."

What.

"Oh." Trying not to look displeased I continued, "Could you please let me know what I have gone wrong on, so for future ref-,"

A loud, obnoxious laugh erupted abruptly from the man, "Pft, please you believed me? And I thought my performance could have been improved- I guess I'm just too good, no no, I should stop, you're filling my ego."

"Excuse me? You'd just manipulate your interviewees into believing they'd failed? I'm sorry 'sir' but who do you think you are? Messing with someone's hope like that, please tell me that you haven't done that with other pe-,"

"First off, calm down, 'Kay? Secondly, listen lovely, I know what I'm doing, so don't get too loose with me, besides I'm only having fun! Ease up a bit, will 'ya? Jeez- someone got your knickers in a twist."

'I cant believe people like him have the audacity to behave in such ways...'

The silence between us was cumbersome... quite tedious.

And with a sigh, he spoke. "Let's have a more formal introduction shall we."

'... Sure it wouldn't hurt. Though you should've said your name at the beginning I guess. To be a tad bit more professional.'

"I'm Kaeya Alberich, Cavalry Captain, of the Knights of Favonious. And you're... oh yeah, pardon me, [Y/n] [L/n] the Captain of the Favonious Forensic Investigation Party. Welcome to the team."

And with that I was in.

'But how was it so easy? I mean, there ought to be more to it right?'

He arose from whence he was sat, the chair of which had welded into his shape. Leaving a trace of him, still remaining in the room, which made me still on edge. Quite carelessly walking to the wooden door behind me.  He remained silent still. Not a single word since his name. Was he flustered?
