Sonics group and Eggmans group are currently in the middle of a war. They both have decided that it would be best for them if the other where to be gone, so they've both set out to get rid of the other. In the battle however, sonic runs into a black...
"alright guys. Since Eggmans last attack we have decided to come up with a new strategy." tails says as he pulls out a piece of paper that had a drawing on it. "This is our new positions, Sonic, you are going to run in from the front, Knuckles and Amy are going to run in from the left, and me and Sticks are going to run in from the right." he says as he places the piece of paper on the desk for us all to look at.

Given that tails wasn't the best artist and I had to stop myself from laughing, we all got the point of what he was trying to say. "That's smart and all but wouldn't Sonic just be fighting everything while we sneak in to Eggmans lair? That's kinda unfair if you ask me" Amy says as she looks at the paper. "No. I have a suspicion that Eggman has put quite a lot of time in to adding security all around his lair. So no matter where we go, all of us will fight.".
"Ohh alright." Amy said as she smiled and backed away, sitting on the couch next to the chair. I didn't mind the plan. It was smart, we all had quite a good chance of getting in. Ever since the war between us and Eggman has started, Eggman has been creating more and more powerful robots. Rouge, one of his workers has been hinting towards something new and dangerous coming during our last battle. I'm not sure what it is, but im getting prepared.
"Alright everyone! Now that we have studied our new positions and everyone knows what they are, we need to plan when exactly we are going to attack." Tails says as he claps his hands once and smiles a little too nicely for a kid thats talking about trying to destroy the Eggman empire. "Uhh don't you normally choose when we fight?" Knuckles said as he scratched the top of his head. "Yeah, but since we got beat last time due to some of us being tired, i've decided to let us all choose a time to go." Tails says.
We all think for a bit. I personally enjoy attacking in the middle of the day, but that's just my personal preference. "What if we all go at 8am?" Sticks says. "It's the perfect time to fight because Eggman would have just woken up and wouldn't know what to do!" She says happily as she looks around at us, looking for our opinions. I didn't mind that time so I gave her a thumbs up and smiled at her. "Yeah that's perfect!" Said Tails as he looked at Knuckles and Amy. They both nodded.
And just like that we had all agreed to attack at 8am tomorrow morning. Currently it was 5pm, so Tails wanted us to get ready for the attack. I walked out of the little hideout that we had just discussed our priorities in. It was Tails secret hideout that he had made, it was cool for being made by a kid. I walked to my house from his hideout. It wasn't too far and I didn't want to waste my energy, I needed all the energy I could get for tomorrow.
When I arrived home I decided to take a bit of a break. Everyone has been so worried about Eggman attacking that I haven't really been able to get any sleep. I've been watching over everyone else so that they could get some sleep that I haven't really been focusing on my own sleep schedule. I yawned as I made my way up the stairs and into my room, slowly sliding off my shoes as I crawl into my bed. "A short nap wouldn't kill me, right?" I said as I yawned and laid down, closing my eyes as I began to sleep.
"Sonic! Get up!" I heard someone yell as I felt someone shaking me. "Huh..?" I say, still groggy from the nap I just took. "What time is it?" I asked the figure as I began to sit up. "It's 6am, we have to get ready for the attack." The voice said, way calmer than they sounded 2 minutes ago. Once I finally got up I realized it was Tail who was talking to me. "What..?" I said, still not understanding what was happening.
"Get up and get ready for the attack!" He said, a bit louder than last time. Did I really sleep for that long? I'm still so tired. I slowly get up and put my shoes back on. When I looked up I realized Tails was gone, but I could hear something downstairs. I slowly and tiredly walked out of my room and walked downstairs to find out what I was hearing. Once I make it downstairs I see Amy, Tails, Sticks, and Knuckles all sitting down on my couch.
"How did you guys get in my house?" I say tiredly. "Well we hadn't heard from you all day yesterday so I got worried and came here to check on you and make sure you were awake for the attack." Tails says as he pulls out a bobby pin from his tail fur. "I kinda picked your lock heh, sorry." He says as he scratches the back of his head. I just chuckle and then sit down. Tails walks over and brings me a cup of coffee. "Ew Tails no, you know I hate coffee." I say as I look away.
"I know but you need to drink it so that I can ensure you are awake for the battle." Tails says in a serious tone. I disappointedly take the coffee and begin to drink it. It's very bitter, a taste that I do not enjoy. "Anyways, now that everyone is awake and ready, we need to go into the forest and find the exact spots we are going to be entering Eggmans lair from." Tails says as he pulls out some walkie talkies. "Everyone is going to get a walkie talkie so that we can ensure nobody get captured or if you are injured you can call for help." Tails says as he throws the walkie talkies out.
I catch mine and hold on to it tightly. "Okay guys, let's go then, what are we waiting for?" I hear Knuckles say as he stands up and begins to walk out the front door, everyone follows after him. Tails quickly flies ahead of everyone and we all begin following him since he knows where our spots are.
Once everyone finally got in their spots we just had to wait for the time to hit exactly 8am. I check my watch and see that it says 7:26. I sigh. I'm gonna have to wait here for another 40-some minutes until I can actually do anything. I sit down and lean against a tree. I could feel my eyes begin to close as I fight for them to stay awake, but I guess I still hadn't evened out the amount of sleep I lost because I fell asleep leaned against the tree.
"Krrrt* Sonic! Do you CoKrr* Copy?" I can hear very faintly as I begin to wake up. I finally realize where I am and quickly check the time. It says 8:27. Oh no. Everyone must have already started to fight. I quickly got up and answered Tails. "Yes I copy! What's going on buddy?" I shout out nervously as I quickly start running to where I was supposed to go to begin with. "Oh thank Krr* god!" I can hear Tails say as I run. "You need to retreat!" I can hear Amy scream from her line.
I stop myself very quickly and answer confused. "What? What do you mean??" I say, the panic can be heard in my voice. "Eggman has a new worker, he is seriously strong! Krrt* He is way too fast for us Kr* and so we retreated." I could hear Tails say. He's extremely fast? New worker?? Im so confused.. "You seriously need to leave now!" I hear Tails say. "Okay okay! Im going back now!" I say as I turn around and begin to run back home.
As im running home I look left to see something a little ways away from me. It looked to be going the same speed as me. I could see it coming my way. Oh no. Suddenly it rushed at me and I tried to dodge it by jumping, but instead tripped on a stick and fell face first into the ground, as the strange creature ran right above me. It hit a tree and then turned around and looked at me. I try to get up but my leg hurts really bad.
I realized I had sprained it. As the creature turns around and begins to walk towards me I can finally see what it was. A male hedgehog. His fur was black with red stripes and he had a very serious look on his face. I begin to growl as I see him come closer. Once he finally reaches me he just kind of stares. He looks down at my leg and then back up at me.
"G-Go away!" I shouted at him as I was getting ready to fight him. I used the tree I was next to as support as I slowly stood up and leaned on the tree, arms out in a fighting position. The black hedgehog just scoffed and then left, without saying a word. I sighed as I slowly slid down the tree and sat down. I knew I couldn't make it back home alone so I just sat underneath the tree and began to fall asleep again. I wasn't scared. I knew my friends would find me sooner or later.
