Moving to quickly

His lips parted from mine. I don't know why, but I wish it lasted longer.

He looked at me as he usually does and told me we should go back inside because David and Harper had arrived home. But also because we had been outside for an hour.

We climbed down the tree quickly and ran inside laughing.

"Wow... seems like you two are getting along" Victoria said with a cheeky smirk.

"We just like a lot of the same things, that's why we are getting along!" I quickly said before Brooklyn could say anything about the kiss.

Harper ran to Brooklyn, he picked her up and introduced her to me.

"Harp, this is Mandy, she's staying with us in our house for a bit" he gently told her.

He was so sweet to her, I can't believe how much I am already falling for this guy.

"Hi Harper" I quietly said.

She smiled and waved, and with that she ran off to watch Peter Pan. She apparently loved the mermaids.

"David, what a pleasure it is to meet you" announced my mum.

Gosh, sometimes she's so embarrassing. They are regular people, and she introduces herself like she's meeting the queen.

David greeted her and myself with open arms.

"Mandy is it?"

I nodded.

"Good to meet you, may I ask which room your staying in though?" he asked with a questioned expression.

I was opening my mouth when Brooklyn said something.

"My room. We will share the bed, and make a line of pillows in the middle for privacy, ok dad?"

"Umm... Okay then. Sure if it's fine with her mum" he added.

I looked at my mum and she looked at me with a stern look as if to say 'no funny business'.

Yes mum. I know. Duh, that's been the rule ever since I started kinder.

--BROOKLYN'S POV--

Ugh! My dad is so embarrassing! He has to always embarrass me when I'm with a girl. It's not like we are gonna do 'it'.

Her mum didn't look to keen on us sleeping in the same bed, but she eventually came round.

I don't know why but I am starting to really care for Mandy. She is sweet and misunderstood. She is so different to any other girl at my school. I think...

I think I am falling for her.

--MANDY'S POV--

I think things are moving too fast. I mean I only met the guy today, and we have already had a full on make out sesh. I don't understand!

Victoria was plating up the dish, with the help of my mum. Chicken and chips. Mmmmm.... I could eat that in 5 seconds to be honest.

I have to say, Victoria is much, much sweeter than I thought she'd be.

And their whole family is amazing. So much fun in this household.

I need to talk to Brooklyn about how fast things are moving after dinner though. I need to set the record straight.
